OBDSTAR MS50 Basic | Update License
The OBDSTAR MS50 Basic update license is an annual renewal that provides access to the most recent software for the device. With this license, the device receives the latest updates for 1 year, including extended coverage for new vehicle models and improved diagnostic functions.
An active license ensures that the functionality of the device remains up-to-date with the latest technological developments and software improvements. After the license expires, the device continues to operate on the last installed software version but no longer receives new updates. The activation of the update license is usually processed within 24 hours after ordering on the provided serial number.
Applications and functionalities:
The update license activates the following features for a period of 1 year:
- Software updates: Access to the latest software versions with bug fixes and performance improvements.
- Extended vehicle coverage: Support for recently released motorcycle models and systems.

For the activation of the update license, the serial number (14 characters) of your device is required. You need to enter this number in the comments field during the ordering process. The serial number can be found in the following locations:
- Device: On the sticker on the back of the OBDSTAR MS50 Basic.
- Settings menu: In the main menu of the device, under 'Settings' or 'About this device'.
- Packaging box: On the original packaging of the device, often on a sticker with a barcode.
