The OBDSTAR M001A is the main cable for the motorcycle series from OBDSTAR. It connects the 15-pin DB15 connector of the device to a 16-pin OBD2 plug. This plug fits into the vehicle's OBD2 port or into a make-specific adapter.

You need the cable as a spare or if your main cable is defective. OBDSTAR supplies the M001A with, among others, the MS50 Basic, the MS70, the MK70 and the iScan devices for motorcycles. The M001B is the main cable for the marine series. Which functions you have is determined by your device; the cable does not add any functions.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕Check your device: The M001A belongs to the motorcycle series; devices from the marine series use the M001B.

✕Works only with an OBDSTAR device with a 15-pin connection; a simple EOBD code reader cannot be connected to it.

✕The make-specific adapters for vehicles without an OBD2 port are not included.

✕OBDSTAR does not state any technical difference from the M001B, such as length or pin assignment; choose the cable that belongs to your device.

Good to know: Always pull on the plug, never on the cable. Secure the DB15 plug firmly so the connection does not come loose during use.
