The Jaltest JDC100 is the extension cable that connects the 26-pin DB26 port of the Jaltest Link V9 to the vehicle-specific diagnostic cable. On the interface end, there is a black female DB26-connector with three rows of contacts and two threaded pins; on the cable end, there is a right-angled black male DB26-plug with a chrome-plated frame and two cross-head screws. Between them runs 100 cm of black round cable. Close to the interface end, a short lead branches off to a black jack socket, which allows the Link to be powered externally.

This intermediate connection provides two benefits: Extra working space around the vehicle and the coupling that a number of Jaltest diagnostic cables require, because they do not fit directly onto the Link V9. Via the jack socket, the interface also receives power when the diagnostic port itself has no voltage. The only difference from the sister cable JDC100B is the length: that cable measures 250 cm and otherwise has the same two DB26 connectors and the same jack socket in the same location. The extension cable is supplied with the Jaltest Link V9 and is compatible with all Jaltest modules (CV, AGV, OHW, MHE, Marine and GSE).
