The OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3 update licence for configuration A&C&D extends your right to software updates by one year. The KeyMaster G3 is OBDSTAR's key and immobiliser programmer, where the unlocked modules determine what the device is allowed to do. This extension belongs to the combination Immobiliser and keys (A), ECU Flasher (C) and Crash Reset (D).
On the G3, each module has its own licence, separate from the other modules. This extension keeps track of exactly the modules unlocked for this configuration. The licence is tied to the serial number of your device; we activate it within one working day. When the term expires, the device keeps working on the last installed version, but no new software is added.

What an extension gives you

- ECU Flasher (C): Reading, writing and cloning of engine management, transmission, body control modules and motorcycle ECM, for newer controllers.

What happens without an extension
- New software: No new versions are added; coverage stays where it was.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device there are four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of your KeyMaster G3 to link the licence; this is on the device label and in the settings menu.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
- Connecting the device: Switch on the device and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Updating the software: Update the software with one click from the device itself.
