The ECU Master Configuration C&D software licence activates two configurations simultaneously, namely commercial vehicles, agricultural and off-road machinery and safety systems. The hardware is included with every version matches; what an ECU Master can do is determined by the configurations functions that are unlocked on it.
The activation is tied to the serial number from one device and is non-transferable. If you work with multiple ECU Masters in the workshop, each device requires a own licence needed. Anything outside this licence remains locked, so passenger vehicles and electric vehicles (A) and motorcycles (B) are not included here.

Configuration C — Commercial vehicles, agricultural and off-road machinery
Configuration C opens the engine management and the transmission of lorries, and additionally the agricultural and earthmoving machinery.
- Access truck controllers: Work on the engine management perform without taking the vehicle to the authorised dealer workshop.
- Agricultural and earthmoving included: Enthusiasts, combines and excavators fall under the same configuration.
- Read and write transmission data: The GS series gearbox controllers for commercial vehicles.
- Replacing a controller: A new or revised prepare the unit for the vehicle in which it will be installed.
Configuration D — Safety Systems
Configuration D focuses on what needs to be reset after a collision or repair. These are the airbag control unit, the battery monitoring and the steering angle sensor.
- Complete vehicle damage procedures: The collision data Clear crash data from the airbag control unit after replacement parts are installed.
- Register new battery: Reset the battery management system so the readings charging behaviour match the battery installed.
- Learn sensor: Reset and relearn the steering angle sensor after alignment or steering column work.
- In one session: Perform all three operations in sequence without switching devices.

What you'll need
The ECU Master works together with a computer. Without the components listed below, you cannot use the unlocked configuration no use.
- An OBDSTAR ECU Master: The licence unlocks a device that you even if and is not supplied separately.
- A computer with Windows 10 or later: The ECU Master software runs on the PC and not on the device itself.
- An internet connection: The software logs in at startup to check which configurations are unlocked.
- An OBDSTAR account: This holds the unlock registered that we prepare for you.
- The serial number of your device: Found on the sticker on the underside and in the software under the device information.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working configuration there are four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Enter the serial number of your ECU Master during checkout; that is mandatory.
- We prepare it: We register the unlock with OBDSTAR, typically within one working day.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us once the configuration on your serial number is shown.
- Update the software: Log in to the PC software and download the unlocked configuration; after that it will be in the menu.
