The Jaltest JDC560A9 is the adapter cable that connects the 6-pin engine connector of Isuzu diesel engines in Hitachi machinery to a standard 16-pin OBD2-interface. The cable connects directly to the engine side: it plugs into the diagnostic connector of the engine harness rather than the machine diagnostics in the cab. Whether you need the 6-pin or 8-pin version depends on the engine harness on your machine.
The cable provides diagnostic access to the common-rail engine control system of the Isuzu 4HK1 and 4JJ1-engines, in both K-Line-protocol and CAN-protocol versions found on newer machines, to the ECM of heavier Isuzu engines, and to the AdBlue/DEF-aftertreatment control system. Since the 16-pin OBD2 connector has never been mandatory for construction equipment, this engine connector remains in use on newer machines as well. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway Equipment).

Through this connection, you access the engine control unit of the machine using Jaltest software. Which version is present depends on the engine and the generation of the Zaxis.

- ECM, Engine Control Module: The engine control as Jaltest specifies for the heavier Isuzu engines.
- AdBlue/DEF Isuzu, Exhaust gas treatment system: The aftertreatment control on machines with AdBlue system.
