The Jaltest JDC541A connects the manufacturer-specific diagnostic connector of Hidromek earthmoving machines to the 16-pin OBD2 socket of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side is a round black connector with a ribbed locking ring; the contact housing has sixteen positions, of which seven are fitted with sockets in the product photo. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.

Behind this connector are the control units of the Isuzu powertrain: the 4HK1/4JJ1 common-rail engine control in the CAN and K-Line versions, and, on machines with SCR, the AdBlue/DEF aftertreatment system. Additional actions are available with the CAN version, but not with K-Line. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and is covered by Jaltest OHW.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕Looks similar to the Volvo cable JDC509A, but this one has sockets and the JDC509A has pins; they do not fit the same machine.

✕The year of manufacture says nothing about the connector; only the plug on the machine is decisive.

Good to know: Hidromek uses its own round diagnostic connector with a locking ring, not the flat 16-pin plug of a passenger car. The contact housing of this cable contains sockets; the Volvo cable JDC509A looks similar but has pins. Check which plug is fitted to the machine before ordering.
