The Autool AST609 is an electric brake fluid bleeder. It refreshes brake fluid through pressure bleeding and features two claw connections, allowing you to bleed two wheels simultaneously. The supply is pulsating, which prevents air being drawn into the line.
The package includes two separate bottles: a one-litre filling bottle with graduated markings for fresh fluid and a one-and-a-half-litre collection bottle for used fluid. You adjust the working pressure using the control knob on the unit and read it from the pressure gauge; a safety mechanism automatically stops the pump when the filling bottle empties. The unit operates on 12 volts or mains power, making it suitable for use outside the workshop. The AST605 is the single-connection version.

Application and functionality
When changing brake fluid, the time is not spent bleeding but on the walk around the vehicle: four nipples, reconnect each time, bleed and close. With two claw connections, two are done together, so the system is also under pressure for less time.
The Autool AST609 supports the following functions:
- Pressure bleeding two wheels at once: Two claw connections instead of one, halving the walk around the vehicle.
- Pulsed delivery: The pump works in bursts rather than with constant pressure; this prevents air from being drawn in.
- Adjustable working pressure: Can be regulated with the knob on the unit and read on the pressure gauge.
- Run-dry protection: The pump stops as soon as the fill bottle empties.
- Separate bottles: One litre of fresh fluid with graduation, one-and-a-half litres collection for old fluid.
- Power supply to suit you: 12 volt DC or 110/220 volt mains.
- Adapter connection: Seven reservoir adapters, B01 through B07, for European, American and Asian models.
How to use it
- Fill the fill bottle: With fresh brake fluid of the specified type; the graduation shows the quantity.
- Choose the adapter: From the seven supplied, matching your reservoir cap.
- Connect the power: To 12 volt or mains, via the plug on the unit.
- Set the pressure and start: Read from the pressure gauge, start and stop with the button.
- Bleed two nipples at once: Until clean fluid comes through, then close and move to the next axle.
Special features and capabilities
A number of features are designed for working outside the workshop and for controlling pressure during bleeding.
- Suction and pressure hose: Separate from the 3.5-metre fill hose, so pressure remains even during bleeding.
- Hook and handle: To hang up or move the unit without setting it down.
- Start and stop button on the unit: Stop the pump without unplugging or disconnecting the clamps.
- Aviation plug on the power cable: A lockable connector that won't come loose during work.
Where to use it
The unit is designed for situations where turnaround time per vehicle matters, and for work in a place without mains power.
