The Autel MX-Sensor 315MHz+433MHz (Aluminium) is a TPMS sensor designed for professional tyre service and vehicle diagnostics. This direct TPMS sensor is engineered to measure actual air pressure and internal tyre temperature with high precision within the wheel. The hardware architecture combines both 315 MHz and 433 MHz frequencies on a single circuit board, making the sensor compatible with virtually all factory-fitted tyre pressure monitoring systems on cars and light commercial vehicles.
During operation, the sensor continuously records data and transmits it via an RF signal to the vehicle's control unit (ECU). For correct operation and recognition by the vehicle system, the sensor requires programming whereby a unique sensor ID is written. The technician can use a compatible TPMS tool to clone the ID from the original faulty sensor, or generate a completely new ID. When generating a new ID, a specific relearn procedure is subsequently required, depending on the vehicle manufacturer. Thanks to enhanced transmission power, this programming process can also be performed wirelessly once the unit is mounted in the tyre, making the workshop process more efficient.
KEY BENEFITS
POINTS TO NOTE
Applications and functionality
The unit is designed to measure vital tyre data and transmit it to the on-board computer, with the aim of enhancing safety and minimising tyre wear. The following core functions are supported:
- Tyre pressure measurement: Measures actual air pressure in the tyre with a range of 0 to 800 kPa and transmits this data to the vehicle system to alert in case of sudden or gradual pressure loss.
- Temperature measurement: Records internal tyre temperature (from -40°C to +125°C) to enable the ECU to compensate pressure values based on temperature fluctuations and alert when overheating occurs.
- Sensor ID cloning: Provides the technician with the ability to digitally read the unique identification code of the OEM sensor being replaced and transfer it one-to-one, allowing the vehicle to recognise the sensor immediately without requiring an additional relearn procedure.
Special features and capabilities
This sensor range has been specifically developed to reduce workshop inventory and streamline assembly processes through technical innovations in compatibility and mounting.
- Dual-frequency architecture: Combines transmission protocols for both 315 MHz and 433 MHz, resulting in a single hardware component that covers virtually the entire TPMS vehicle market.
- Wireless multi-programming: The enhanced RF signal (5-8 dBm) allows a compatible Autel tool to programme up to 16 sensors simultaneously, delivering significant time savings when preparing a complete set of winter or summer tyres.
- Press-in valve system: The housing features a mechanical 'press release' system allowing the aluminium valve to be safely secured or released with a simple click without requiring special tools.

Technical specifications
General
- The manufacturer of the sensor. Useful if you already own a programming device from the same brand.Brand
- Autel
- The type of valve used to fit the sensor into the rim. This must match the rim and the car's original valve.Valve type
- Press-in
- A sensor that can transmit on both frequencies fits more cars. You then need fewer different sensors in stock.Works on 315 and 433 MHz
- Yes
Measurements
- The pressure range within which the sensor can measure tyre pressure. A wider range also suits heavier vehicles.Tyre pressure measuring range
- 0 to 800 kPa
- The maximum deviation of the measured tyre pressure. The smaller the figure, the more precise the warning.Pressure accuracy (±)
- 10 kPa
- The temperatures at which the sensor operates and measures. This matters because tyres heat up during hard driving and braking.Temperature range
- -40 to 125 °C
- The maximum deviation of the measured tyre temperature.Temperature accuracy (±)
- 5 °C
Programming
- The sensor can take over the code of the old sensor. This means the new sensor does not need to be relearned by the car.ID cloning
- Yes
- The sensor is set without a cable using a programming device. This works faster, even when the sensor is already fitted in the tyre.Wireless programming
- Yes
- You can programme several sensors at once. This saves time when replacing a full set of tyres.Programme multiple sensors at once
- Yes
Battery and transmitter
- How long the built-in battery lasts approximately. After that, the entire sensor must be replaced.Expected battery life
- 4 to 6 years
- The voltage of the built-in battery that powers the sensor.Battery voltage
- 3.0 V
- The strength of the signal the sensor sends to the car. A stronger signal is received more reliably.Transmission power
- 5 to 8 dBm
Dimensions and weight
- The dimensions of the sensor. This matters because the sensor must fit in the rim without touching the tyre.Dimensions
- 42.4 x 24.1 x 16 mm
- How heavy the sensor is without the valve. A lighter sensor disturbs the wheel balance less.Weight without valve
- 11 g
