The Autel MX-Sensor 315MHz+433MHz (Rubber) is a programmable TPMS sensor designed for direct tire pressure monitoring systems. This sensor continuously measures the current tire pressure and temperature inside the tire and simultaneously supports transmission frequencies of 315 MHz and 433 MHz. This wide frequency range ensures compatibility with nearly all European, American, and Asian vehicles equipped with direct TPMS. The sensor features a rubber 'press-in' valve, facilitating installation in standard alloy and steel rims.

The technical operation of the sensor is based on collecting data via the internal pressure sensor and G-sensor, which is then sent via an RF signal to the vehicle receiver (ECU). Before installation, the sensor must be programmed with the correct vehicle protocols using a compatible Autel TPMS programmer. During this process, the sensor is assigned a unique sensor ID or the ID of the original sensor is cloned. When the original ID is successfully cloned, a learning procedure on the vehicle is often unnecessary. While driving, the G-sensor activates data transmission, allowing the vehicle to detect deviations in real time and display them on the dashboard.

ADVANTAGES

✔ Simultaneously supports 315 MHz and 433 MHz frequencies for broad vehicle coverage with one component.
✔ The sensor ID can be fully cloned, making an OBD learning process on the vehicle ECU unnecessary.
✔ Equipped with a patented press-in valve system for valve replacement without additional tools.
✔ With a weight of 12 grams, imbalance in the rim during driving is minimized.

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕ Can only be programmed with an Autel TPMS programmer due to the specific software architecture.
✕ A rubber snap-in valve is generally not suitable for vehicles with a top speed above 210 km/h.

Applications and Features

This universal TPMS sensor is developed for diagnostic and tire service specialists to replace defective or outdated OEM sensors in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

  • Tire pressure and temperature measurement: Periodically measures the current values in the tire (0 to 800 kPa) and sends this data to the vehicle, so the system immediately warns of dangerous pressure loss or overheating.
  • Wireless programming: The internal firmware can be flashed wirelessly via a compatible diagnostic device, even when the sensor is already mounted in the tire and the wheel is pressurized.
  • ID cloning: Copies the unique hexadecimal identification code from the read original sensor to the new sensor. The vehicle ECU thus immediately recognizes the replacement unit as the original sensor.

Special features and capabilities

The hardware of this sensor includes design features that affect the mounting process and efficiency for the technician.

  • Press-in valve coupling: A mechanical push button on the sensor head allows the rubber or optional metal valve to be manually unclipped. This system simplifies switching valve types without using screws or torque settings between the sensor and the valve.
  • Integrated G-sensor control: A built-in accelerometer detects wheel rotation. Once the vehicle starts moving, the G-sensor wakes the chip from power-saving sleep mode and initiates active RF data transmission, which extends the life of the 3.0V battery.
💡
Good to know: Always clone the original sensor ID when replacing if it is still readable. This saves time because a complex OBD learning procedure or static learning phase on the vehicle is then technically completely skipped.

General

The manufacturer of the sensor. Useful if you already own a programming device from the same brand.Brand

The type of valve used to fit the sensor into the rim. This must match the rim and the car's original valve.Valve type
Rubber snap-in
A sensor that can transmit on both frequencies fits more cars. You then need fewer different sensors in stock.Works on 315 and 433 MHz

Measurements

The pressure range within which the sensor can measure tyre pressure. A wider range also suits heavier vehicles.Tyre pressure measuring range
0 to 800 kPa
The maximum deviation of the measured tyre pressure. The smaller the figure, the more precise the warning.Pressure accuracy (±)
10 kPa
The temperatures at which the sensor operates and measures. This matters because tyres heat up during hard driving and braking.Temperature range
-40 to 125 °C
The maximum deviation of the measured tyre temperature.Temperature accuracy (±)
5 °C

Programming

The sensor can take over the code of the old sensor. This means the new sensor does not need to be relearned by the car.ID cloning
Yes
The sensor is set without a cable using a programming device. This works faster, even when the sensor is already fitted in the tyre.Wireless programming
Yes
A built-in sensor detects when the wheel is turning. This means the sensor only transmits while driving, extending battery life.Motion sensor (G-sensor)
Yes

Battery and transmitter

How long the built-in battery lasts approximately. After that, the entire sensor must be replaced.Expected battery life
4 to 6 years
The voltage of the built-in battery that powers the sensor.Battery voltage
3.0 V
The strength of the signal the sensor sends to the car. A stronger signal is received more reliably.Transmission power

Dimensions and weight

The dimensions of the sensor. This matters because the sensor must fit in the rim without touching the tyre.Dimensions
