The Autel Mazda 17-pin Adapter is a conversion cable designed to connect a modern diagnostic device with a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector to older Mazda vehicles equipped with a specific 17-pin OBD1 diagnostic port. This Adapter converts the pins of the vehicle-specific connector to the standardized OBD2 layout, enabling communication with the vehicle's onboard computers.
The Application of this Adapter is aimed at performing diagnostics, such as reading and clearing error codes, on Mazda models produced before the general introduction of the OBD2 standard. The 17-pin connector is usually located in the engine compartment of the vehicle, often labeled "DIAGNOSIS."
