The IScan Triumph update licence extends your right to software updates by one year. The IScan is not a single device but a range, with each version restricted to a single brand or segment. This licence applies to the IScan Triumph and maintains coverage of that specific device. What comes with it are new model years, expanded service functions and corrections to existing software.
The licence is tied to the serial number of your IScan Triumph, not to an account or code. We activate it within one working day on your device's serial number. When the term expires, the IScan Triumph continues to work on the last installed version, but new software will no longer be added.

Two things on your IScan Triumph depend on the licence. The coverage determines which models the device recognises, and the function files determine what it is permitted to do with them.
What an extension provides
- New model years: Triumph models and model years added after your last update become available within the existing diagnostic functions.

What happens without an extension
- No supplementary content: New coverage and new procedures will no longer reach the device.
- Online functions: Remote support and online functions may be limited or unavailable after expiry.
- No loss of function: What you do with the device today, you can still do after the licence expires.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device takes four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of your IScan Triumph to link the licence; this is found on the sticker on the back of the device and in the settings menu.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
- Connect device: Switch the device on and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Update software: Update the software with a single click from the device itself.
