The ECU Master Configuration A&B&C software licence activates three configurations simultaneously, namely passenger car and electric vehicle, motorcycle and commercial vehicle, agricultural and off-road machinery. The hardware is included with every version same as; what the ECU Master can do is determined by the configurations that are unlocked on it.
Activation is tied to the serial number from one device linked and is non-transferable. Do you work with multiple ECU Masters in the workshop, each device then has a own licence required. Anything outside this licence remains restricted, so safety systems (D) is not included here.

Configuration A — Passenger vehicles and electric vehicles
Configuration A opens the engine management, the transmission and the body panels from passenger cars, plus the battery management and the vehicle control module of electric vehicles.
- Getting a replacement control unit to work: Transfer the contents of the old control unit to the new one, so the vehicle recognises it supports.
- Automatic transmission access: A DSG unit read and write without the vehicle to the franchised dealer to send.
- Electrical work: Access battery management and vehicle control modules on models that support it enable.
- Pre-backup: Read the existing software and store before writing anything.
Configuration B — Motorcycle
Configuration B opens the motorcycle engine management. This is the motorcycle ECM configuration any within this platform.
- Keep motorcycle work in-house: Controllers from over one hundred manufacturers read, write and clone.
- Look up controller by name: The software operates per controller type and not by model year, so you search for what's actually in the engine.
- Deploy replacement ECM: A second-hand or prepare a new controller for the motorcycle it needs to go into.
- Separate purchase: Motorcycle ECM is located in no other configuration, not even in the most comprehensive.
Configuration C — Commercial vehicle, agricultural and off-road machinery
Configuration C opens the engine management and the transmission of trucks, and additionally the agricultural and earthmoving machinery.
- Access truck controllers: Work on the engine control perform without taking the vehicle to the workshop franchised dealer to send.
- Agricultural and earthmoving equipment: Tractors, combines and excavators fall under the same configuration.
- Read and write transmission: The GS series gearbox controllers for commercial vehicles.
- Replace controller: A new or reconditioned prepare the unit for the vehicle it needs to go into.

What you'll need
The ECU Master operates together with a computer. Without the components listed below, you cannot use the unlocked configuration no use.
- An OBDSTAR ECU Master: The licence unlocks a device that you even if and is not supplied separately.
- A computer with Windows 10 or later: The ECU Master software runs on the PC and not on the device itself.
- An internet connection: The software logs in on startup to check which configurations are unlocked.
- An OBDSTAR account: This holds the unlock registered that we prepare for you.
- The serial number of your device: Found on the sticker on the underside and in the software under device data.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working configuration there are four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Enter the serial number of your ECU Master during checkout; that is mandatory.
- We prepare it: We register the unlock with OBDSTAR, typically within one working day.
- Email confirmation: You will hear from us once the configuration on your serial number is listed.
- Update the software: Log in to the PC software and download the unlocked configuration; after that it will be in the menu.
