The OBDSTAR DC706 update licence for two modules extends your entitlement to software updates by one year. The DC706 is OBDSTAR's ECU programmer for passenger cars and motorcycles. It reads, writes and clones control units via OBD or on the workbench. This licence applies to a DC706 with two unlocked modules: ECM+TCM, ECM+BCM or TCM+BCM.
Which modules are covered is determined by the unlocking on your serial number, not by the hardware. This extension keeps the lists of your unlocked modules up to date. The licence is tied to the serial number of your device; we activate it within one working day. If the term expires, the device continues to work on the last installed version, but new software will no longer be added.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device there are four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of your DC706 to link the licence; it is on the sticker on the device and in the settings menu.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
- Connect the device: Switch the device on and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Update the software: Update the software with one click directly from the device.
