The OBDSTAR D800 / Marine Master update licence for configuration A&B&C&D extends your entitlement to software updates by one year. The D800 and its successor, the Marine Master, are OBDSTAR's marine diagnostic tools. Configuration A&B&C&D covers jet skis, outboard engines, inboard engines and generators. This is the full configuration, with all four marine segments.

Which segments are within scope is determined by the activation on your serial number. This extension maintains the coverage and functions of configuration A&B&C&D. The licence is tied to the serial number of your device; we activate it within one working day. When the term expires, the device continues to work on the last installed version, but no new software will be added.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕This extension applies only to configuration A&B&C&D; the other configurations each have their own licence.

✕An extension provides software and no hardware; IMMO kits and extra adapter cables must be purchased separately.
✕The licence is tied to one serial number and therefore to one device; a second device in the same workshop requires its own extension.

Applications and functionality

A current licence keeps the activated segments of your D800 or Marine Master up to date. For configuration A&B&C&D these are jet skis, outboard engines, inboard engines and generators.

What an extension gives you

  • All four segments: Models and engines for jet skis, outboard, inboard and generators added since your last update.
  • Diagnostic and service functions: Fault codes, live data, actuator tests, coding and calibrations are expanded and corrected.
  • Corrections and improvements: Fault fixes and faster routines within the software itself are included.

What happens without an extension

  • New software: No new versions will be added; coverage remains at its current level.
  • Online services: OBDSTAR's online functions and remote assistance may be lost or limited.
  • Existing work: What you do with the device today you can still do after the licence has expired.

How does it work in practice?

From order to updated device there are four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.

  1. Serial number: We need the serial number of your D800 or Marine Master to link the licence; it is shown on the sticker on the device and in the settings menu.
  2. Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
  3. Connect the device: Switch the device on and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  4. Update the software: Update the software with one click directly from the device.
