Jaltest Truck Select Brands Update License 1 year

This is the update licence for Truck Select, the annual renewal per truck brand from the second year onwards. You select your brand using the variant choice on this page; each brand has its own reference number.

With the renewal, you maintain access to new software versions and expanded model year coverage within your chosen brands. If you do not yet have Truck Select, you start with the software licence per brand, which includes the first year. Jaltest requires a minimum purchase of two brands. You cannot diagnose with a single brand: you must therefore order at least two variants, or combine one brand with another modular licence such as Trailer, Bus, LCV, AGV, OHW or MHE.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕Minimum purchase of two manufacturers. A single make is not sufficient; you must order two variants or combine this manufacturer with another modular licence.

✕Without renewal, the software will be blocked. Unlike the CV licence, the most recently installed version does not continue to function here.

✕The Jaltest Link is mandatory and the software requires registration every six months, even while your licence is still active. If registration is not completed, the software will be blocked.

✕Provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link and the manufacturers you have selected in the order notes; without this information, we cannot activate your licence.

Applications and functionality

Truck Select is Jaltest CV, but limited to the manufacturers you choose. Within each selected manufacturer, you have access to full diagnostic functionality; manufacturers you have not activated are not available.

What you can do with it

System scan: View all control units present and see where faults are logged.
Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with fault descriptions.
Measured values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time.
Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring to it.
Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
Maintenance resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
New software versions: Throughout the licence year, the latest versions and expanded model years within your selected manufacturers.
Expert mode: Manually select a control module when automatic selection does not apply.

What falls outside this licence

Truck Select covers commercial vehicles only. Other vehicle types require their own licence, which counts towards the minimum purchase.

What you need

Jaltest requires a fixed configuration to enable diagnostics with Truck Select. The complete chain is set out below.

Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
Software licence per brand: The initial purchase, which includes the first licence year. A minimum of two brands, or one brand alongside another modular licence.
Update licence per brand: This product. From the second year onwards, for each brand on your equipment.
Adapter cables, only if required: Heavy-duty vehicles have a 16-pin diagnostic connector; only with older models is an adapter necessary.
Registration of your equipment with us: If your Jaltest equipment is currently registered with another supplier, we will first send you a supplier change form.

Optionally expand with INFO Plus for Truck Select (70605015) for wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures. You purchase this for each manufacturer on your equipment.

💡

Important to note: When your licence expires, the software becomes blocked; with Truck Select, the most recently installed version will not continue to work. If you renew within fifteen days of expiry, the new period runs from that expiry date; after that, it begins on the renewal date.

How does it work in practice?

From order to active manufacturers takes four steps. In addition to the serial number, you also provide the manufacturers you have selected.

Select manufacturers: Choose one variant per manufacturer. A minimum of two manufacturers is required, unless you combine one manufacturer with another modular licence.
Provide serial number and manufacturers: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link and the manufacturers you have selected in the order notes.
We activate: We link the renewal to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and download the manufacturers; they will then appear in the vehicle selection.
