The Jaltest 74602003 is the renewal licence for Marine Inboard, Jaltest diagnostics for inboard engines. Use it to extend a current licence by twelve months. This is not a new module, but an extension of a module that is already registered to your serial number.
With the renewal, you retain twelve months' access to new software versions, including the engines, systems and functions added during that year. Jaltest updates the software three times per year; your installation remains unchanged between updates. If you do not renew, Marine Inboard will be blocked and you will no longer be able to diagnose with it.

Applications and functionality
Marine Inboard is Jaltest diagnostics for inboard engines. This renewal keeps that module active and includes the enhancements for the coming year. What you do with it afterwards depends on the engine and the connection you use.
What you can do with it
- Systems and fault codes: The software recognises the control units present and reads out the fault codes, with their descriptions.
- Live measurements: Engine speed, pressure, temperature and other parameters whilst the engine is running.
- Actuation: Direct actuation of components to verify they respond.
- Calibrations and settings: The calibrations and parameter settings that Jaltest offers per system.
- Symptom-based fault finding: Guided search paths that start from the complaint rather than the fault code.
- Technical information: Releases, procedures and manual diagnostics for the systems you access.
- Expert mode: Select a control unit manually when automatic selection is not suitable.

The renewal makes no change to coverage: Marine Inboard continues to work on inboard engines. What is added are the engines and systems that Jaltest introduces during the coming year.

Marine Inboard is available in three configurations with identical coverage. The difference lies in what you purchase – a one-time licence, the first year of use included, or a renewal – not in what you can do with it.

What you need
To diagnose with Marine Inboard, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- The module itself (74602003): This product. It is the renewal and works on a module you already own.
- Adapter cables (optional): Marine inboard engine cable set (70002009). If you don't have these, you can connect using the multi-pin connector set from your Jaltest kit.

How does it work in practice?
From order to renewed licence takes four steps. You do not need to reinstall anything; the serial number is all you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: When placing your order, state the serial number of the Jaltest Link on which the existing licence is registered.
- We renew: We apply the renewal to that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
- Email confirmation: We'll contact you once the new expiry date is set on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the new version; Marine Inboard remains in the start menu.
