The Jaltest 74502015 is the software licence for Marine Inboard, Jaltest's diagnostic solution for inboard marine engines. Whereas the software activation (74502003) is the module alone, this product includes the first year of use as standard. You order one item and gain twelve months of access.
The included year of use begins as soon as we activate the module and runs for twelve months. During that period you receive the three software versions that Jaltest releases each year. After that, you renew with the update licence (74602003). To carry out diagnostics you will need the Jaltest Link.

Applications and functionality
Marine Inboard is Jaltest's diagnostic solution for inboard marine engines. With this licence, that module is available to you from day one. What you do with it subsequently depends on the engine and the connection you use.
What you can do with it
- Systems and fault codes: The software recognises the control units present and reads out the fault codes, with their descriptions.
- Live measurements: Engine speed, pressure, temperature and other parameters whilst the engine is running.
- Actuation: Direct actuation of components to verify they respond.
- Calibrations and settings: The calibrations and parameter settings that Jaltest offers per system.
- Symptom-based fault finding: Guided search paths that start from the complaint rather than the fault code.
- Technical information: Releases, procedures and manual diagnostics for the systems you access.
- Expert mode: Select a control unit manually when automatic selection is not suitable.

Marine Inboard is available in three configurations with identical coverage. The difference lies in what you purchase – a one-time licence, the first year of use included, or a renewal – not in what you can do with it.

What you need
To diagnose with Marine Inboard, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- The module itself (74502015): This product. You purchase the module with the first year of use included.
- Adaptor cables (optional): Marine inboard engine cable set (70002009). If you don't have these, you can connect using the multipin set included in your Jaltest case.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate: We bind the module to that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and download the module; Marine Inboard will then appear in the start menu.
