The Jaltest JDC201A is an adapter cable designed to establish a connection between vehicles with an 8-pin round diagnostic connector and diagnostic equipment with a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. This cable forms the physical link between the vehicle's specific diagnostic connector and the Jaltest V9 diagnostic interface or other compatible reading equipment.
The cable is primarily intended for performing diagnostics on older heavy commercial and work vehicles from the Volvo Group that are not yet equipped with the standardized 16-pin OBD2 port. Adapter cables and adapters from Jaltest are to be used in combination with Jaltest diagnostic equipment. Since the connector used can vary by model, series, and year of manufacture, it is advised to check the physical diagnostic port of the vehicle beforehand.
