The Jaltest ETM Kit is an additional module designed as an accessory for the Jaltest diagnostic device. This Electronic Test Module (ETM) enables direct verification of the operation of specific electronic components in commercial vehicles without the need to dismantle the part from the vehicle. The kit focuses on testing EBS modulators, wheel speed sensors, and brake wear sensors.

The module checks both the internal operation of the component and the wiring to the ECU, allowing faults in connectors and cables to be identified. The kit is suitable for testing EBS modulators from brands such as Knorr-Bremse and Wabco. Additionally, the ETM performs an End of Line (EOL) test to confirm correct operation after installation. The ETM is applicable to a wide range of vehicles, including trucks, buses, trailers, agricultural machinery, and construction machinery.

Application and functionality:

The Jaltest ETM module is used to perform diagnostics on electronic brake systems and the associated sensors. The module simulates signals and measures the response to check the functionality of components.

  • EBS modulator diagnosis: The module checks the operation of the solenoid valves and reads the pressure data from the internal sensors of EBS modulators from Knorr-Bremse and Wabco.
  • Wheel speed sensor verification: Tests the functionality of ABS/EBS wheel speed sensors directly on the vehicle.
  • Brake wear sensor check: Allows direct verification of the operation of brake wear sensors.
  • Wiring test: Checks the wiring between the electronic control unit (ECU) and the component, detecting issues such as breaks or short circuits.
  • End of Line (EOL) test: Performs a test at the end of the production line to ensure that the installed components function correctly.
