The Jaltest 71602011 is the update licence for Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics in standalone mode. It extends by twelve months a module already registered to your serial number. Knorr-Bremse updates the diagnostic software three times per year; with this extension you receive those versions.
This version operates independently: You get Knorr-Bremse coverage within the Jaltest interface without requiring a separate Jaltest diagnostic licence. In exchange, you can only read Knorr-Bremse systems with it; the general vehicle coverage of Jaltest CV and Modular is not included. The software supports twelve languages, including Dutch. If you do not renew, the module becomes blocked; if you do not yet have it, you begin with software activation (71502008).

Applications and functionality
Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics is Knorr-Bremse's own diagnostic solution, built on Jaltest Diagnostics' interface and workflow. This renewal keeps that module active and brings in the versions for the coming year. What you do with it afterwards depends on the system and connection you use.
What you can do with it
- System scan: The software reads which Knorr-Bremse units are installed in the vehicle.
- Read and clear fault codes: With the descriptions provided by Knorr-Bremse.
- Measured values and live data: The brake system parameters whilst the vehicle is running.
- Component control: Directly control brake modulators, sensors and actuators to verify they respond.
- Parameters and calibrations: The settings and calibrations that Knorr-Bremse releases for each system.
- Control unit replacement: According to Knorr-Bremse procedures, which comply with cybersecurity and SUMS requirements.
Compatible vehicles and systems
The module works on Knorr-Bremse systems in trucks, buses and trailers. Which systems are available for each vehicle varies by model and year of manufacture.
Truck and trailer in one programme
Where you previously worked with two separate programmes – NEO for the tractor and ECUtalk for the trailer – that is now in one environment. This also includes Knorr-Bremse's newer generation trailer brake systems, the iTEBS X.
What is not covered by this module
The module covers Knorr-Bremse systems only and not the rest of the vehicle. If you also want to read the engine, transmission and other systems, you need a Jaltest diagnostic licence, or the add-on route (71502007) on top of a licence you already have.
Four editions
Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics is available via two routes, each with an initial purchase and annual renewal. The add-on works within a Jaltest licence you already own; the standalone version does not require that licence. You are currently on Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics (standalone).

To diagnose Knorr-Bremse systems, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- Software activation (71502008): The initial purchase of the module.
- The renewal itself (71602011): This product. Twelve months added.
- Adapter cables (optional): Wabco and Knorr-Bremse trailer brake systems, 7-pin (JDC103A), Knorr-Bremse KB4-TA trailer ABS, 7-pin (JDC111A), Knorr-Bremse EBS 5, 18+18-pin (JDC220A), Knorr-Bremse ABS, 18+18-pin (JDC305A). If you don't have these, you can connect using the multipin set included with your Jaltest case.

How does it work in practice?
From order to renewed licence takes four steps. You don't need to reinstall anything.
- Provide serial number: When placing your order, state the serial number of the Jaltest Link on which the existing licence is registered.
- We handle the renewal: We activate the renewal on that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
- Email confirmation: We'll contact you once the new expiry date is set on your serial number.
- Update the software: Launch Jaltest Diagnostics and download the new version; Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics remains in your start menu.
