The Autel MaxiBAS BT609 update licence extends your right to software updates for the BT609 by one year. The BT609 is a battery tester with a 7-inch tablet. It tests 6V and 12V batteries from 100 to 3000 CCA, both in and out of the vehicle, and covers flooded, AGM, EFB and gel batteries. It also tests 12V and 24V starting and charging systems, registers a new battery for 53 car makes, and reads fault codes from all systems via the Bluetooth VCI.
An extension updates the battery test software, the battery registration and the diagnostics of the BT609. New vehicles thus receive the correct battery data, battery location and registration procedure. We activate the licence on the serial number, usually within one working day. Afterwards, the BT609 continues to test and register batteries on vehicles already in the software.

How does it work in practice?
The extension is made via the serial number of the tablet. Four steps follow.
- Provide serial number: Enter the serial number of the BT609 when ordering.
- Activation: We activate the licence on that serial number, usually within one working day.
- Prepare tablet: Connect the BT609 to the charger and to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Install updates: Open the update menu and install the new versions.
