Without an active license, it is not possible to use the software, as access is blocked after the license period expires.

An active license is a requirement to benefit from the latest system updates and expanding vehicle coverage. The license activation is automatically and digitally processed within 24 hours after ordering, requiring a stable internet connection on the diagnostic system. This modular approach offers a targeted solution for specialists who do not need the full CV license. Note: with this configuration, purchasing licenses for at least two brands is mandatory.

How does it work in practice?

Activating your license is a simple and digital process. Follow the steps below to extend your software.

1. Place order: You place the order for the software extension through our webshop.
2. Provide serial number: During checkout, enter the serial number of your Jaltest V9 Link in the designated remarks field.
3. Registration check: We verify whether your Jaltest reading device is registered on our platform. If not, we cannot perform the update. You can then fill in the 'Jaltest distributor change' form and send it to us so we can complete the registration.
4. Digital activation: After verification and payment, the license activation is carried out digitally and remotely within 24 hours.
5. Confirmation and use: Once the update is complete, you can immediately use the latest software version. An active internet connection is required to synchronize the new license.

Serial number information

The serial number of your Jaltest reading device is necessary for license activation. This number, usually consisting of 9 characters, should be entered in the remarks field during the ordering process. You can find the serial number in one of the following locations:

• Interface: On the sticker on the back of the Jaltest V9 Link.
• Settings menu: In the Jaltest software under system settings or device information.
• Packaging box: On the original box in which the reading device was delivered.
