Applications and functionality

Jaltest OHW is the Jaltest diagnostic solution for heavy and compact earthmoving and road construction equipment. This renewal keeps that module active and includes the additions for the coming year. What you do with it subsequently depends on the vehicle and the connection interface you use.

• Systems and fault codes: The software recognises the control units present and reads out the fault codes, with their descriptions.
• Live readings: Read parameters whilst the vehicle is running, from engine speed and pressure to temperature.
• Actuation: Direct actuation of components to verify they respond.
• Calibrations and settings: The calibrations and parameter settings that Jaltest offers per system.
• Symptom-based fault finding: Guided search paths that start from the complaint rather than the fault code.
• Technical information: Releases, procedures and manual diagnostics for the systems you access.
• Expert mode: Select a control unit manually when automatic selection is not suitable.

Four editions

Jaltest OHW is available in four configurations with identical coverage. The difference lies in what you purchase – a one-time purchase, the first year of use included, a renewal or an upgrade to software you already have – not in what you can do with it.

What you need

To perform diagnostics with Jaltest OHW, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.

• Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
• The module itself (29760): This product. It is the renewal and works on a module you already own.
• Renewal licence (29760): This product. Twelve months of extension, from the second year onwards.
• Adapter cables (optional): OHW New cable set (70002029) and OHW Base cable set (70002030). If you don't have them, you can connect using the multi-pin set from your Jaltest kit.

How does it work in practice?

From order to renewed licence takes four steps. You do not need to reinstall anything; the serial number is all you need to locate yourself.

1. Provide serial number: When placing your order, state the serial number of the Jaltest Link on which the existing licence is registered.
2. We renew: We apply the renewal to that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
3. Email confirmation: We'll contact you once the new expiry date is set on your serial number.
4. Update software: Launch Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the new version; Jaltest OHW remains in the start menu.
