De Topdon CarPal is een compact OBD2-uitleesapparaat in de vorm van een dongle. Hij maakt via Bluetooth 5.0 verbinding met uw smartphone of tablet (Android 7.0 of iOS 11.0 en hoger). U doet een diagnose van alle systemen: foutcodes lezen en wissen en live data bekijken. Daarnaast heeft de CarPal 6 servicefuncties en een accutest.
Topdon noemt een dekking van 98% van de auto's van 1996 tot 2023, met CAN FD. Met AutoVIN herkent de app de auto. U koppelt maximaal 3 automerken aan de dongle. De app geeft ook TSB's, de plek van de OBD-poort en een bibliotheek met waarschuwingslampjes. Bij aanschaf via AsTools krijgt u 1 jaar software-updates.

Service en onderhoudsfuncties
De CarPal heeft 6 servicefuncties voor basisonderhoud. Welke functie werkt, verschilt per merk, model en bouwjaar.
Motor en transmissie
- Olie reset: Het onderhoudsinterval terugzetten na service.
- Gasklep: De gasklep inleren na reiniging of vervanging.
- DPF: De regeneratie van het roetfilter starten.
Remmen en onderstel
- EPB: De parkeerrem resetten na remservice.
- TPMS: Sensoren opnieuw inleren na bandenwissel.

- Accuregistratie (BMS): Een nieuwe accu aanmelden.
Ondersteunde voertuigmerken
Bepalend is de combinatie van merk, model en bouwjaar, niet het merk alleen. De dekking verschilt per functie; controleer vooraf of uw model en de gewenste functie erin staan. U koppelt maximaal 3 merken tegelijk aan de dongle.
