The ECU Master configuration A&D software licence activates two configurations simultaneously, namely passenger car and electric vehicle and safety systems. The hardware is included with every version same; what the ECU Master can do is determined by you with the configurations that are unlocked on it.
The activation is to the serial number from one device linked and is non-transferable. Do you work with multiple ECU Masters in the workshop, each device then has a own licence required. Anything outside this licence remains restricted, so motorcycle (B) and commercial vehicle, agricultural and off-road machinery (C) are not included here.

Configuration A — Passenger vehicles and electric vehicles
Configuration A opens the engine management, the transmission and the vehicle body from passenger vehicles, plus the battery management and the vehicle control module of electric vehicles.
- Getting a replacement control unit to work: Transfer the contents of the old control unit to the new one, so the vehicle recognises it supports.
- Automatic transmission access: A DSG unit read and write without the vehicle to the brand dealer to send.
- Electrical work: The battery management and vehicle control module access on models that support it permit.
- Back up beforehand: Read the existing software and store before writing anything to the device.
Configuration D — Security Systems
Configuration D focuses on what happens after an collision or a repair needs to be reset. These are the airbag control unit, the battery monitoring and the steering angle sensor.
- Complete damaged vehicle: The crash data erase from the airbag control unit after the replacement parts are installed.
- Register new battery: Reset the battery monitoring, so that the charging behaviour matches the battery installed in it.
- Learn sensor: Resetting and relearning the steering angle sensor after alignment or steering column work.
- In a single session: Perform the three operations in sequence without switching devices.

What you'll need
The ECU Master operates together with a computer. Without the components listed below, you cannot use the unlocked configuration no use.
- An OBDSTAR ECU Master: The licence activates a device that you even if and is not supplied separately.
- A computer with Windows 10 or later: The ECU Master software runs on the PC and not on the device itself.
- An internet connection: The software logs in at startup to check which configurations are unlocked.
- An OBDSTAR account: This unlocks the activation registered which we prepare for you.
- Your device serial number: Found on the sticker on the underside and in the software under the device data.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working configuration there are four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Enter the serial number of your ECU Master during checkout; that is required.
- We prepare it: We register the activation with OBDSTAR, typically within one working day.
- Email confirmation: You will hear from us once the configuration is on your serial number is located.
- Update the software: Log in to the PC software and download the activated configuration; it will then be in the menu.
