The OBDSTAR D800 / Marine Master update licence for configuration C&D extends your entitlement to software updates by one year. The D800 and its successor, the Marine Master, are OBDSTAR's marine diagnostic tools. Configuration C&D covers inboard engines and generators. These are the segments covering the larger diesel and petrol engines on board the vessel and the auxiliary units aboard.

Which segments are within reach is determined by the activation on your serial number. This extension maintains the coverage and functions of configuration C&D. The licence is tied to the serial number of your device; we activate it within one working day. When the term expires, the device will continue to work on the last installed version, but no new software will be added.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕This extension applies only to configuration C&D; the other configurations each have their own licence.
✕Jet ski (A) and outboard engines (B) are not covered by this extension and are not added.
✕An extension provides software and no hardware; IMMO kits and additional adapter cables must be purchased separately.
✕The licence is tied to one serial number and therefore to one device; a second device in the same workshop requires its own extension.

Applications and functionality

An active licence keeps the activated segments of your D800 or Marine Master up to date. For configuration C&D these are inboard engines and generators.

What an extension gives you

  • Inboard engines and generators: Engines and controllers added since your last update, within the existing diagnostic functions.
  • Diagnostic and service functions: Fault codes, live data, actuator tests, coding and calibrations are expanded and corrected.
  • Corrections and improvements: Error fixes and faster routines within the software itself are included.

What happens without an extension

  • New software: No new versions will be added; coverage remains where it currently stands.
  • Online services: OBDSTAR's online functions and remote assistance may cease or become limited.
  • Existing work: Anything you do with the device today can still be done after the licence expires.

How does it work in practice?
