This license is specifically designed for workshops and technicians working with trucks, buses, and other heavy commercial vehicles and guarantees access to the most recent vehicle data and diagnostic functions.
With an active software subscription, your reader device stays up-to-date with the latest vehicle coverage, system updates, and improved service functions. After the license expires, the module continues to operate with the last installed software version but no longer receives new updates. This may reduce compatibility with the newest vehicle models and systems.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the software extension is a simple process that is entirely digital.
- Order: Place your order and enter the serial number of your X-431 HD III module in the remarks field.
- Receive code: You will receive the digital activation code and a password within 24 hours by email or WhatsApp.
- Activate: Log in to the update environment via your Launch reader device or the official website.
- Enter: Enter the received activation code and password to extend your subscription by one year.
- Update: Download and install the available software updates directly on your device.
Serial number information
The serial number of your module is required for activation. This number consists of 12 characters and must be correctly provided in the remarks field during the ordering process. You can find the serial number in one of the following locations:
- On the module: The serial number is usually on a sticker on the back or side of the X-431 HD III module.
- Via the software: The number is visible in the settings or information menu of the connected Launch reader device.
- Original packaging: The serial number is often also listed on the module’s packaging box.
