The Launch Creader Professional CRP919X BT is a diagnostic scanner for cars and light commercial vehicles that bridges the gap between a basic fault code reader and a full dealership diagnostic system. It reads all vehicle systems, performs actuator tests to command components, and goes beyond diagnostics alone: ECU coding, unlocking hidden functions and programming modules are all part of its capability. LAUNCH provides coverage of more than 98% of vehicle models on the market.
The BT in the name makes the difference: the DBSCar VII-interface connects to the tablet via Bluetooth, so you walk around the vehicle with a 7-inch Android tablet instead of being tethered to a cable. Wired operation is also supported. The device handles CAN FD and DoIP — the protocols used by modern vehicles — and supports FCA AutoAuth for the secure gateway on Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models. It includes 31 service and reset functions, and comes with two years of software updates.
KEY BENEFITS
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functions
Below, the work is grouped as it arrives in the workshop.
Diagnostics
Full system diagnostics on more than 98% of vehicle models on the market, via the DBSCar VII interface in the OBD port.
- Read all systems: Retrieve fault codes from every control module in the vehicle, not just engine management.
- Display live data graphically: Monitor sensor and actuator values in real time, with graphical representation of data streams.
- Actuator testing: Control individual components and actuators to assess operation without dismantling.
- Automatic vehicle recognition: The device retrieves vehicle data from the Launch cloud database using the chassis number.
- Clear fault codes: Empty the memory once repair work is complete.
Maintenance and service — 31 reset functions
The reset procedures that accompany servicing or repair work. Which are available depends on the vehicle make, model and year of manufacture.
- Engine and drivetrain: Oil and service reset, crankshaft position sensor learning, injector coding, throttle body learning, gearbox matching, EGR adaptation, air-fuel ratio reset, stop-start system reset and engine power balance check.
- Exhaust and emissions: DPF regeneration, GPF regeneration, AdBlue reset and NOx sensor reset.
- Brakes, suspension and driver assistance: Electric parking brake reset, steering angle sensor calibration, ABS bleeding, suspension level calibration, tyre reset and adaptive cruise control reset.
- Comfort and bodywork: Headlight matching (AFS), sunroof initialisation, seat calibration, window calibration, air conditioning system learning, coolant bleeding, language selection and transport mode activation or deactivation.
- Electric and hybrid: Battery matching, high-voltage battery reading and motor angle calibration.
- Immobiliser: Anti-theft matching (IMMO) for key programming within supported vehicle models.
Coding and programming
Where this diagnostic tool goes beyond simple reading.
- ECU coding: Module programming after replacement, enabling the vehicle to recognise the new unit.
- Hidden functions activation: Enabling factory options present in the software but not yet activated.
- Module installation and programming: Installing a module and configuring it with the correct software.
Connectivity and protocols
The technical standards this device supports.
- Bluetooth via DBSCar VII: The interface remains in the OBD port; take your tablet with you. Wired operation via USB is also available.
- CAN FD: The faster CAN protocol used in recent vehicle models.
- DoIP: Diagnostics over ethernet, required for an increasing number of modern vehicles.
- FCA AutoAuth: Access to the secure gateway for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. Requires a dedicated FCA account.
- WiFi on 2.4 and 5 GHz: For software updates and online functions.
