The Jaltest 70607003 is the SGW activation per device for Iveco: the device component of the authorisation that grants your Jaltest access to Iveco vehicles behind a Security Gateway. Iveco requires both components on initial purchase, so this product and the activation per organisation (70607002).
Without authorisation you can still read data on these vehicles, but cannot control functions, perform calibrations or reset maintenance. Jaltest is approved by the manufacturer as a diagnostic tool and manages the connection to the authentication server; this licence opens that connection for you. The authorisation runs until 31 December of the year you purchase it, not twelve months from the purchase date. You obtain this component per Jaltest Link: if you have three devices, you order this product three times, alongside the single workshop component.

What is the Security Gateway?
Newer Iveco vehicles feature a Security Gateway (SGW): a security module between the diagnostic port and control units that prevents unauthorised access. To pass through it, you must identify yourself to the manufacturer. Jaltest does this for you once this authorisation is loaded on your device.
What is blocked without authorisation
- Control functions: activate components to test them
- Calibrations: retrain sensors and systems
- Maintenance functions: service resets and maintenance procedures
Data reading remains available: reading fault codes and monitoring live data works even without authorisation.
What you can do after activation
With authorisation on your Jaltest, you can perform everything you do on other vehicles with these models: bidirectional tests, calibrations, maintenance and all other steps of a complete repair.
Which vehicles are covered
This authorisation applies to Iveco models that Jaltest supports with Security Gateway. Available functions per model depend on Jaltest coverage.
- Daily: Daily from 2019 onwards, Daily CNG and Minibus Daily from 2019
- Heavy range: S-Way, S-Way NP, T-Way, X-Way and X-Way NP
- Buses: Crossway and Crossway LE
For the other manufacturer, there is a separate authorisation: FCA SGW (70607001).
What you need
The authorisation works on top of your Jaltest diagnostic licence. The full breakdown is shown below.
- Jaltest Link V8 or newer: older Links cannot establish the secure connection.
- An active Jaltest diagnostic licence: for the vehicle you want to diagnose, such as Jaltest CV, Modular or Truck Select with this brand included.
- SGW activation per workshop (70607002): Once per workshop.
- SGW activation per device (70607003): This product. Once per Jaltest Link.
Workshop and device
Iveco registers the workshop and each device separately. That's why the authorisation consists of two products: one per company and one per Jaltest Link. You add extra devices later using only the device portion.

Duration and renewal
Iveco works with calendar years. An activation is valid until 31 December of the year in which you purchase it, even if that is late in the year.
- Renewal: Between 1 November and 15 December, using the renewal licence per organisation (78500001) and per device (78500002). Access then continues into the new year.
- Missed deadline: if you apply after 15 December, the renewal expires and you must purchase the full activation again, per company (70607002) and per device (70607003).
- Pricing policy: Cojali may adjust SGW rates after written notice; requests always go through Cojali.

How the activation process works
Unlike a standard licence, the manufacturer is involved here. From order to working authorisation, there are four steps.
- Place your order: include the serial number of your Jaltest Link and your company details in the notes field.
- We submit the request: we send your details through Cojali to Iveco.
- Approval by the manufacturer: Iveco reviews the request. This takes longer than a standard licence; do not expect the same day.
- Access: Once approval is received, the authorisation will be activated on your Jaltest and you will be notified by email.
