The Jaltest 74502016 is the software license for Jaltest Marine Gasoline Engines, the diagnostic module for gasoline marine engines. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to use the module during that period. You'll need the software activation (74502011) to go with it: You purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve months, you'll work with the complete Gasoline module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the vehicles, systems and features added that year. This is what sets it apart from the activation, which by itself doesn't unlock anything. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license will be aligned with your existing one: You pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (74602011).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of access to Jaltest Marine Gasoline Engines, one of six marine variants. What you can do with it depends on the engine and cable you use.
What the Gasoline Module Covers
- Gasoline marine engines: Engine management systems for gasoline engines on board.
- Stationary marine gasoline engines: Engine controls for fixed gasoline engines, accessed via the cable set for stationary engines (70002006).
What You Can Do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify where faults are stored.
- Read and clear fault codes: Extract fault memory from each control unit, with fault descriptions included.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real time while running.
- Component activation: Deliberately activate sensors and actuators to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform calibration procedures that Jaltest offers for each system, for example after replacing a component.
- Maintenance Resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert Mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't apply.
What You'll Need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This annual license is one of them; the complete breakdown is listed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on your PC.
- Software Activation (74502011): One-time purchase, valid indefinitely. The license won't function without this activation.
- Software License – First Year (74502016): This product. Twelve months of coverage.
- Update License (74602011): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic Cables: The cable set for stationary engines (70002006) with JDC217.9, JDC505A (CAT/Perkins), JDC528A (Volvo Penta 8-pin) and JDC538A (Yanmar), or individual cables by manufacturer.
If you also service diesel engines, there's the broader Marine Vessel activation (74502002) for vessels; for all six variants, Marine Complete (74502001) covers everything in one purchase. These modules are sold separately and each requires its own license. Technical documentation, wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures are not included in this license: Those are covered by Jaltest INFO Plus, a separate module available for individual purchase with its own license requirement.
