The Jaltest 74502017 is the software license for Jaltest Marine Jet Ski, the diagnostic module for jet skis. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to work with the jet ski module during that period. You'll need the software activation (74502005) to go with it: You purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve months, you work with the complete jet ski module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the new models, systems and features added that year. This is what sets it apart from the activation, which by itself unlocks nothing. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license will be aligned with your existing one: You pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (74602005).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of usage rights for Jaltest Marine Waterscooters, the jet ski module. What you can do with it depends on the vessel and the cable you use.
What the jet ski module covers
- Jet skis: Engine management and associated control units.
- BRP Seadoo: Via the JDC602A cable from the jet ski cable set.
- Other connections: Via the JDC610A, JDC641M, JDC660M, JDC661M and JDC662M cables from the same set.
- Yamaha: Requires a separate Yamaha cable. This is not included in set 29985, but is included in the Marine Complete (74502001) and Vessel (70002008) sets.
- Outside this module: Inboard, outboard, gasoline engines and onboard electronics; for these, Marine Vessel (74502002) or Marine Complete (74502001) apply.
What you can do
- System scan: Display all available control units and see where faults are present.
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory for each control unit, with a description of the fault.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real time while operating or running the watercraft.
- Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring leading to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
- Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
What you'll need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This annual license is one of them; the complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on a PC.
- Software activation (74502005): One-time purchase, remains valid indefinitely. The license won't function without this activation.
- Software license first year (74502017): This product. Twelve months.
- Update license (74602005): From the second year onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: The jet ski cable set (29985), supplemented with the Yamaha cable if you service Yamaha jet skis. Cables are not included.
Jet skis are one of the marine variants. If you also maintain other vessels, Marine Vessel (74502002) with license 74502012 covers inboard and outboard engines, gasoline engines and onboard electronics, while Marine Complete (74502001) brings all marine segments under a single activation. Optionally expand with Jaltest INFO Plus for wiring diagrams, component locations and guided repair procedures. These modules are purchased separately.
