The Jaltest 74001014 is the software license for Jaltest OHW, the diagnostic module for off-highway equipment. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to use the OHW module during that period. You'll need the software activation (29308) to go with it: you purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve monthsyou work with the complete OHW module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the machines, systems and functions added that year. This is what sets it apart from the activation, which by itself unlocks nothing. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license aligns with your existing one: You pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (29760).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of usage rights to Jaltest OHW, the module for off-highway equipment. What you can do with it in your workshop depends on the machine and cable you use.
What the OHW module covers
- Earthmoving and construction equipment: Caterpillar, Volvo Construction, Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, Bobcat, Doosan, Hyundai CE and Hidromek.
- Engines: Engine control units from Deutz, Kubota, Yanmar and Mercedes-Benz/MTU.
- Transmissions: ZF Ergopower transmissions.
What you can do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify any fault codes.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory for each control unit, complete with fault descriptions.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time while the machine is running or operating.
- Component activation: Deliberately activate actuators to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Parameters and Calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system, for example after replacing a component.
- Service Resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert Mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't work.
What You'll Need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics.This annual license is one of them; the complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on your PC.
- Software Activation (29308): One-time purchase, remains valid indefinitely. The license won't function without this activation.
- Software License Year One (74001014): This product. Twelve months of coverage.
- Update License (29760): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic Cables: The OHW Basic Cable Set (70002030) or Complete Set (70002026), or individual cables by manufacturer.
Two modules build on OHW: Jaltest GSE (75201004) for ground support equipment at airports, available only as an add-on to an active OHW subscription, and Multi-Purpose Vehicle (29348), which shares the same licensing terms as OHW. These modules are purchased separately and each requires its own license.
