The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro is a diagnostic tablet for workshops with ECU programming via J2534. You carry out OE-level diagnostics on more than 80 American, Asian and European brands: fault codes, live data, actuator tests, adjustments, ECU coding and more than 40 service functions. The connection to the car is made via the MaxiFlash VCI, wirelessly via Bluetooth or with USB, with CAN FD and DoIP without an additional adapter.

The tablet has a 9.7-inch touchscreen (2048 x 1536), Android 10, an octa-core processor (2.2 + 1.8 GHz), 4 GB working memory, 128 GB storage and an 11,000 mAh battery. The MaxiFlash VCI is a J2534 pass-thru interface (SAE J2534-1 and -2), so you can also flash control modules with original factory software. When purchased via AsTools, you receive 2 years of software updates and remote assistance via TeamViewer.

How to use it

  1. Registration: Register the device and update it via Wi-Fi.
  2. Connect: Connect the VCI to the OBD port using the main cable.
  3. Pairing: Connect the VCI to the tablet via Bluetooth or USB.
  4. Scanning: Let AutoVIN recognise the car and start AutoScan.
  5. Repair: Use live data, tests and service functions, and erase the codes.

Service and maintenance functions

According to Autel, the Elite II Pro has more than 40 service functions. Which function works with which model varies by brand, model and year of manufacture.

Engine and transmission

  • Oil reset: Reset the service interval after servicing.
  • Injector coding: Write the code of new injectors to the ECU.
  • Throttle valve (ETC): Learn the throttle valve after cleaning or replacement.
  • Transmission (CVT/AT): Reset the learned values of the automatic gearbox.
  • Crankshaft sensor (TEC): Learn the crankshaft sensor after replacement.
  • DPF: Start regeneration and reset DPF values.
  • AdBlue (SCR): Reset the SCR system after topping up or servicing.
  • Air-fuel ratio: Reset the adaptation values after replacement.

Brakes and chassis

  • EPB: Open, close and calibrate the brake calipers.
  • ABS bleeding: Remove air from the brake system.
  • Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrate the sensor after wheel alignment.
  • TPMS: Look up sensor IDs, learn sensors and reset.
  • Air suspension: Calibrate the ride height.

Electrical system

  • Battery registration (BMS): Register a new battery.
  • Adaptive headlights (AFS): Readjust the headlights.
  • Start/stop: Enable or disable the start-stop system.
  • Transport mode: Switch transport mode on or off.

Comfort and safety

  • Windows and sunroof: Re-learn the end positions.
  • Seat occupancy (SRS): Calibrate the passenger detection.
  • Language: Change the language of the dashboard or infotainment.
