Autel MaxiBas BT506 | Battery Tester

The Autel MaxiBAS BT506 is a compact tester for analyzing the condition of 6- and 12-volt Batteries and 12- and 24-volt starting and charging systems. The device uses Adaptive Conductance, a method that measures the conductance of the Battery to determine health status. The BT506 has a test range of 100 to 2000 CCA and communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth with a compatible Autel MaxiSys tablet or with a smartphone via a specific app.

This Battery tester is designed for both in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle tests, providing flexibility in diagnosing issues. The tester features automatic temperature compensation to increase measurement accuracy. Results and detailed test reports are displayed on the connected device, such as a tablet or smartphone, and can be saved or printed.

Application and functionality:

The BT506 is designed for analyzing the Battery and electrical systems of vehicles. The tester offers the following features:

• Battery test: Analyzes the status of 6V and 12V Batteries, including the State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC). This test can be performed while the Battery is installed in the vehicle or disconnected.
• Starting test: Checks the condition of the starting system of 12V and 24V vehicles by measuring the starting voltage and time during the starting process.
• Charging system test: Evaluates the operation of the charging system (alternator) of 12V and 24V vehicles, both unloaded and loaded, to check the charging voltage and ripple voltage.
• Adaptive Conductance: Uses an advanced measurement method to determine the conductance of the Battery, resulting in an accurate indication of the Battery status and the ability to hold a charge.
• Wireless connectivity: Connects via Bluetooth to Autel MaxiSys tablets or to a smartphone (iOS/Android) via the MaxiBAS app for viewing and managing test results.
• Reporting: Generates detailed test reports illustrating the health of the Battery and the electrical system. These reports can be saved, shared, or printed.

The MaxiBAS BT506 is compatible with a wide range of lead-acid batteries:

• AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat): Including standard AGM and AGM Spiral.
• EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery): Suitable for vehicles with start-stop systems.
• Flooded (wet): Conventional lead-acid batteries.
• GEL: Batteries where the electrolyte is in gel form.
