The Topdon TopScan Moto is a reader device in the form of a VCI dongle, designed for performing diagnostics and maintenance on motorcycles. The VCI connects via Bluetooth 5.0 to an iOS or Android smartphone, on which the accompanying app provides the interface for all functions. The system supports full system diagnosis, reading and clearing fault codes, viewing live data, and more than 13 service functions. The license includes 1 year of free updates.

This reader device offers extra functionalities such as actuator tests to directly control and check components. The software also provides access to Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), which include technical information and repair instructions from the manufacturer. Users can generate, save, and share detailed diagnostic reports after each session. The compact form factor of the VCI makes it a portable solution for diagnostic tasks.

Diagnostic functions:

The Topdon TopScan Moto performs a full system diagnosis on all electronic control units present in the motorcycle.

• Read and clear fault codes: Reads and clears fault codes (DTCs) from all available systems, including engine, ABS, and instrument panel. Fault code definitions are displayed immediately.
• Live data: Displays real-time data from sensors and components in various views, such as graphs and text. This enables monitoring and analysis of system performance.
• Actuator tests: Directly controls individual components and actuators to test functionality without disassembling the part. This can activate injectors, fans, or valves, for example.
• Request ECU information: Reads details from the control unit, such as software version, part number, and other specifications.
