The Jaltest OHW reading module for sweepers is an advanced multi-brand diagnostic platform specially designed for industrial vehicles such as street sweepers and sweepers from, among others, Hako, Schmidt, Boschung, Ravo, Karcher, and Bucher. The system combines the robust Jaltest Link VCI with the powerful Jaltest SOFT OHW diagnostic software, tailored to the specific needs of vehicles with hydraulic, electric, and mechanical subsystems.

Jaltest OHW not only provides access to fault codes and live data but forms a complete solution for fault diagnosis, maintenance, calibration and system management. The intuitive software environment supports technicians in locating and resolving defects in engines, hydraulics, transmission, CAN networks, AdBlue systems, and other essential subsystems used in modern sweepers.


Diagnostic functions:

The Jaltest OHW module for sweepers offers comprehensive OE-level diagnostics for all electronic and hydraulic subsystems found in modern street sweepers. This enables technicians to quickly and accurately locate faults and take targeted action.

  • Reading and clearing fault codes: Detects active, inactive, and permanent fault codes with clear descriptions and original OEM references. Fault codes can be cleared after repair.
  • Live data monitoring: Real-time display of sensor values and parameters such as engine speed, hydraulic pressure, temperatures, brush motor speed, fuel consumption and more. Values can be displayed numerically, graphically, or in customized views.
  • Testing actuators: Enables controlling individual components such as hydraulic valves, brush motors, pumps, fuel systems, fans or sensors to check their operation.
  • System and ECU information: Provides direct access to identification data of control units such as part number, software version, serial number, and operating hours, including communication status and network position (e.g., CAN).

Maintenance, service, and calibration functions:

The Jaltest OHW module for sweepers offers an exceptionally broad and in-depth range of maintenance, service, and calibration functions, tailored to the systems of modern street sweepers. These functions are equivalent to – and often even more advanced than – those of original dealer diagnostic equipment. They enable technicians to independently resolve complex faults and perform complete service operations within a single diagnostic environment.

Engine and exhaust gas aftertreatment:

  • DPF service: supports static and dynamic regeneration of the particulate filter, including reset of soot and ash values and checking backpressure sensors.
  • SCR/AdBlue system service: performs system resets, checks pump pressure, performs leak tests, and tests AdBlue pump, injector, and heater.
  • Injector coding: encodes IMA, C2i, or C3i injectors in the ECU for precise fuel injection.
  • Engine condition tests: includes cylinder deactivation, compression tests, and variable turbo control (VGT).
  • EGR learning: calibrates the EGR valve after maintenance for correct emission and combustion values.

  • Jaltest GRP (Garage Resource Planning): An integrated workshop management system that offers functions for customer management, work order scheduling, quotation creation, repair history, and the automatic linking of diagnostic reports to the work order. Jaltest thus becomes a full-fledged CRM and workshop management platform.
  • Jaltest ETM (Electronic Test Module): In combination with the optional ETM hardware, electronic components outside the vehicle can be tested.
