The Jaltest Truck is a complete diagnostic system for trucks and tractors: A case containing the Jaltest Link V9, the interface box you connect to the diagnostic connector of the truck, and the software that runs on your own laptop.
This module covers the entire truck: Engine management, exhaust aftertreatment, central vehicle control unit, automated gearboxes, brakes with retarder, air suspension and tachograph. Coverage extends across 70 truck makes, from European tractors to American and Asian manufacturers.
This set contains everything you need to perform diagnostics: The Link and the Modular Truck software activation, with the first year of use included. We activate the module as soon as you receive the device, using the serial number of the supplied Link; you don't need to do anything. You'll need to arrange a laptop and the truck cables separately.

KEY BENEFITS
✔You start complete: The Jaltest Link V9 and the Modular Truck software activation are together included, with the first year of use covered.
✔We handle the activation: As soon as you receive the device we enable the Truck module using the serial number of the supplied Jaltest Link, with no action required from you.
✔Coverage includes 70 truck makes, among them DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, Scania and Volvo.
✔It goes beyond reading codes: You command components, adjust parameters and perform the calibrations and resets required for particulate filter, injectors, gearbox and air suspension.
POINTS TO NOTE
✕The case includes only the 16-pin OBD cable; manufacturer-specific connectors for pre-Euro IV vehicles require the truck and bus cable set (29362) or a separate cable, and a laptop is not included.
✕The module covers trucks only. If you also work on buses, add Modular Bus (293300), or get the entire commercial vehicle segment with Jaltest CV (29303).
✕If you don't renew, the module will be blocked; this differs from Jaltest CV, where diagnostics continues to work on the last version. Renewal is done using the update licence (29051100).
✕The software requires registration every six months; if you skip it, it will block.
What's in the box
The case contains the hardware you use to establish the connection, plus the software licence that unlocks the Truck module. The hardware is the same as in the standalone set 70001052; the difference between diagnostic devices lies in the software module, not the case. Below you'll find what each component is and its reference number.
Hardware
Jaltest Link V9 (70001015): The diagnostic interface you connect to the truck's diagnostic connector, with 26-pin DB26 to the cable and USB-C to your PC.
Multipin Kit (70002001): Twenty multipins JTP01 through JTP10, each in two colours, the connection cable JTP101 and two power cables — JDC10AM2 with battery clamps and JDC20AM2 for the cigarette lighter socket. With these you can probe directly into a connector where no dedicated diagnostic cable exists.
OBD cable, 16-pin (JDC213.9): The standard cable for the standard diagnostic connector.
USB-C cable (JDC107.9B): The connection between the Link and your laptop.
Extension cable, 100 cm (JDC100): With a 26-pin DB26 connector, the wide connector on the Link itself. Useful when the connector is deep under the dashboard or behind a cover panel in the cab.
Case (70003015): The compact format, 505 x 381 x 146 mm.
Software
Software (293100): The one-time purchase that unlocks the Modular Truck module. With Modular, the first year of use is included, so no separate software licence is needed.
Jaltest GRP: The workshop software from Cojali for customers, vehicles and reports, in Basic, Synchro and Enterprise modes; these modes are free to activate.
A laptop and truck cables are not included. See Cables and computer further down on this page.
Which vehicles and systems are covered
Jaltest Modular Truck covers trucks and tractors. A make in the list means coverage exists, not that every model and model year is fully supported. The breakdown by continent refers to where the make originates, not the current owner.
Commercial vehicle brands covered
Well-known makes among the trucks in Jaltest Modular Truckcoverage: DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, Scania and Volvo.
All 70 truck makes, sorted by continent:
European (27)
Askam, Astra, Avia, BMC, DAF, Dennis Eagle, ERF, Foden, Ford, GAZ, Iveco, Kamaz, MAN, MAZ, Mercedes-Benz, Otokar, Renault Trucks, Rosenbauer, Scania, Seddon Atkinson, Sisu, Tatra, Terberg, URO, Volkswagen, Volvo and Volvo USA
Asian (13)
Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz, Eicher, Hino, Hyundai, Isuzu, Mahindra, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, SML Isuzu, Tata, Tata-Daewoo and UD Trucks
American (11)
Agrale, Capacity, Caterpillar, Freightliner, International, Kenworth, Mack, Oshkosh, Peterbilt, Sterling and Western Star
European includes the United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia and Belarus; Ford is listed as the truck maker from Turkey and Volvo USA because the classification follows the make's origin. Chinese is separate from Asian, which covers Japan, South Korea and India.
Vehicle systems
Engine management: Electronic engine control, from older EDC versions with inline fuel injection pumps to common-rail generations, including the driving control that coordinates engine, brake and transmission.
Exhaust aftertreatment: The particulate filter and SCR and AdBlue control, with the unit managing aftertreatment.
Central vehicle control unit: The computer controlling the vehicle network — the VECU in Volvo, the FFR in MAN TG-series, the VIC in DAF CF and the body controller BC in Iveco Stralis.
Gearbox and clutch: Automated transmissions including AS Tronic, I-Shift, Opticruise, Eurotronic 2 and Ecomat 2, with shift and clutch control and clutch engagement point.
Brakes and retarder: Anti-lock braking and brake control systems ABS and EBS from Wabco and Knorr-Bremse, and auxiliary braking functions, including the ZF Intarder.
Air suspension (ECAS): Electronically controlled air suspension per axle configuration, with height sensors and rear axle steering.
Cab and body: Instrument panel and display, body, superstructure and lighting modules, airbag, climate control and engine immobiliser.
Tachograph and telematics: Tachograph module and vehicle data logging.
Search by component instead of by truck
When the same system is fitted in trucks from different makers, you access it by the component rather than by the vehicle. This is useful for a braking system from Wabco or Knorr-Bremse, or for a ZF gearbox, which sits in the same chassis across dozens of makes.
What you can do with it
With the Truck module you read the truck's control units, monitor live data and command components. You also perform the work the software enables: Particulate filter service, injector work, calibrations and service counters.
Diagnostics
Read and clear fault codes: Active, inactive and intermittent codes with descriptions, and clearing after repair.
Live data: Sensor readings on screen, in numbers and as graphs.
Component actuation: Operate parts directly to test their function.
ECU information: Part number, software version, serial number and first installation data.
Parameters and calibrations: Configure control units and tune systems.
Maintenance and calibration
Particulate filter (DPF): Force regeneration and reset soot and ash values after cleaning or replacement.
SCR and AdBlue: Reset the system and test the pump, heater and injector.
Injector coding: Register new injectors with their own code in the engine control unit.
Gearbox calibration: Adjust shift actuators and relearn the clutch engagement point.
Air suspension adjustment: Set ride height and height sensors for ECAS control.
Brake maintenance: Operate brake calipers for servicing and reset wear warning after new brake pads.
Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrate after wheel alignment or steering system work.
Service interval resets: Reset after routine servicing.
Cables and computer
The case contains a 16-pin OBD cable for the standard connector fitted to truck makes from Euro IV onwards. Earlier generations use proprietary connectors in the cab, each requiring a separate cable. The software itself runs on a Windows PC.
Truck and bus cable set (29362): JDC201A for Volvo's 8-pin connector, JDC203A for Mercedes-Benz and MTU's round 14-pin, JDC204A for Wabco brake systems, JDC205A for Renault's 11-pin, JDC206A for Iveco's 30-pin, JDC207A for MAN TG-series 4-pin, JDC209A for DAF's 16-pin and JDC210A for older MAN ranges' 37-pin.
Iveco with proprietary connector: JDC221A for the ST14D connector and JDC222A for the ST48 connector.
Standardised connections: JDC217.9 for the green 9-pin Deutsch type 2, which connects directly to the Link V9 via a DB26 connector, and JDC211A which adapts the older 6-pin Deutsch connection from the J1708/J1587 bus to a 9-pin J1939 cable.
J1939 backbone: JDC216A9 is spliced into the continuous databus on vehicles where no separate diagnostic connector is installed; the cable harness remains pass-through connected.
Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are available separately in our online shop.
The cable you need is determined by the diagnostic connector in the cab, not the make on the grille. Check the vehicle itself to see which connector is fitted in the cab before ordering: Count the pins and verify whether it is the standardised 16-pin OBD connector.
Licence and renewal
With Modular, you purchase software activation and the first year of use in one go. From the second year onwards, you extend with the update licence (29051100), each time for another twelve months. As long as the licence is active, you receive all new software versions for truck systems.
Duration: Twelve months from activation, included with the software activation.
Renewal: Annually, using the update licence (29051100).
Installations: Up to five PCs. The Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
Registration: At activation, after each new software version, and thereafter every six months.
Add a module later: A module purchased later is aligned with your current licence; you pay a pro-rata amount.
Do not renew: The module will be blocked until you purchase the update licence.
💡
Good to know: If you renew within fifteen days after the expiry date, the new period runs from that expiry date; after that, it starts on the renewal date. Renewal is done with the update licence (29051100); we activate it within one business day on the serial number of your Jaltest Link.
Update licence (renewal after the free period)
The renewal price may vary slightly. Already own the device? We will ask for the serial number after your order.
Optional add-ons
Alongside the Truck module, there are add-ons you order separately. They are not required for diagnostics, but they expand the reference material, support or tools. Below is what applies to trucks.
INFO Plus for Modular (70605043): Wiring diagrams and guided repair workflows. Order one for each modular licence your equipment has.
Manufacturer module (29469): Select by system manufacturer instead of vehicle make, with update licence 29481 for subsequent years. This module is not available separately and requires Modular Truck, Modular Bus or both; this set fulfils that requirement.
Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-on (71502007): Knorr-Bremse's own software, integrated into Jaltest, for Knorr-Bremse systems in trucks and trailers, complete with original technical information. Renewal uses 71602007; the module is locked if that renewal or the modular licence lapses.
Jaltest ETM (70001007): The external tester for measuring EBS modulators and sensors independently, also available as a kit with test cables (70001008). Works only with an active CV or modular licence and is not supplied as a standalone product.
Jaltest ATS: One year's access to Cojali's English-language technical support helpdesk. Runs automatically; cancellation is in writing up to thirty days before expiry.
