The Autool AS502 is a handheld brake fluid tester that directly measures the moisture content in brake fluid inside the reservoir. The device is suitable for brake fluids based on DOT3, DOT4, and DOT5.1 and displays the measurement on an LCD screen with backlight. A flexible measuring probe on the top allows measurements even in hard-to-reach reservoirs.

During use, the probe is held in the brake fluid, after which the tester determines the water content in percentage and visually displays the result via a five-step LED indication from green to red. Operation is via four buttons for on/off, start measurement, unit switch, and lighting. The tester runs on AAA batteries and automatically switches off when inactive to extend battery life.
