The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro is one of the most advanced and comprehensive OE-level diagnostic platforms in the MaxiSys range, specifically designed for the professional workshop that demands maximum performance, speed and functionality. This high-end tool combines powerful vehicle diagnostics, online coding and full ECU programming via J2534 in a single system. The Elite II Pro is equipped with a large and bright 9.7-inch Retina touchscreen tablet, powered by a fast octa-core processor and the stable Android 10 operating system, ensuring smooth workflow even during complex programming and configuration tasks.
Wireless communication is handled by the included MaxiFlash Elite J2534 VCI, a powerful Pass-Thru interface that not only supports diagnostics but also enables full dealer-level ECU flashing. With support for modern communication protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, the system is fully prepared for the latest vehicle platforms from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG, Volvo and GM. The device is supplied standard with two years of free software updates, including access to Autel cloud functions, new vehicle coverage and manufacturer servers. After this period, the system remains functional with the last installed software version; for new updates and access to online functions, an annual licence is required.
Diagnostic functions:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro offers OE-level diagnostics and is equipped with intelligent features that accelerate the analysis process, streamline it and support it with relevant technical information.
- Intelligent diagnostics & topology mapping: Displays a visual, interactive network map of all vehicle modules with colour coding by communication status (active, fault, offline). The system links fault codes directly to TSBs, provides step-by-step repair instructions and automatically suggests possible causes and solutions.
- Full system diagnostics (OE-Level): Offers in-depth access to all electronic systems of more than 80 vehicle makes, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), steering, comfort systems, ADAS and more.
- Active tests (bidirectional control): Sends commands to actuators, relays and components to test their operation without dismantling. For example, activating the fuel pump, air conditioning clutch, EGR valve or windows.
- Live datastream: Displays real-time sensor data from multiple modules in text, graphs or analogue gauges. Supports simultaneous comparison of datastreams for thorough fault analysis and diagnostic confirmation.
Maintenance and service functions:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro supports over 40 maintenance and reset functions for calibrating, initializing and resetting vehicle systems after service or component replacement. These functions make the system suitable for daily use in universal and manufacturer-specific workshops.
- Oil service reset (Service): Resets the service interval and extinguishes the service light after an oil change.
- Electronic parking brake (EPB): Release and initialization of the electronic handbrake during brake service.
- Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new battery and restores the vehicle's charging management.
- Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor after wheel alignment or steering repair.
- Diesel particulate filter (DPF): Initiates forced regeneration of the soot filter and clears associated fault codes.
- ABS pump bleeding (ABS): Removes air from the hydraulic brake system through electronic activation.
- Tyre pressure monitoring system reset (TPMS): Learns new TPMS sensors after replacement and resets the system.
- Throttle body initialization (ETC): Restores throttle position after cleaning or replacement of the throttle body.
- Injector coding: Programs the ID codes of new injectors into the ECU for optimal fuel delivery.
- Transmission adaptation (CVT/AT): Resets learning values of automatic transmissions for improved shift timing.
- Crankshaft sensor learning (TEC): Relearns crankshaft position after replacement or engine repair.
- AdBlue system reset: Clears alerts and level measurement of the SCR system after topping up or maintenance.
- Air suspension calibration: Calibrates ride height and damping on vehicles with adaptive air suspension.
- Headlight alignment (AFS): Calibration of adaptive or cornering headlights after replacement or realignment.
- Windows and roof initialization: Restores automatic functions of electrically operated windows and sunroofs.
- Start/stop settings: Enables or disables the automatic start/stop system after replacement or adjustment.
- Seat occupancy sensor (SRS): Calibrates passenger detection for correct airbag deployment.
- Transport mode activation/deactivation: Switches the vehicle into or out of transport mode for storage or delivery.
- System language change: Adjusts the language of the instrument panel or infotainment system.
- Air/fuel ratio reset (A/F): Restores adaptive values for air/fuel regulation after replacement of sensors or components.
Programming and coding functions:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro stands out through its powerful programming and coding capabilities, making the system suitable for dealer-level ECU adjustments, software updates and OE-level module replacement.
-
J2534 ECU programming: The included MaxiFlash Elite VCI acts as a J2534 Pass-Thru interface, allowing control units to be reprogrammed (flashed) with original OEM software. This is essential for:
- Replacing ECUs on makes such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz
- Updating software versions to the latest manufacturer specification
- Resolving complex software faults and firmware errors
-
Online coding: Connects to manufacturer servers to adjust the software configuration of modules. Used for:
- Correctly learning new components
- Adjusting vehicle options such as lighting, mirrors, start/stop
- Activating hidden features (retrofits) on VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW and others
- Component matching & guided functions (VAG): Provides step-by-step guidance for programming, coding and configuring components within the Volkswagen group (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda). This significantly reduces the risk of errors during complex procedures such as key coding, steering module replacement and ABS adjustment.
Cloud and reporting functions:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro is equipped with advanced cloud and reporting capabilities that support efficient workshop documentation, customer communication and remote assistance.
- Autel Cloud Report Management: Automatically stores pre-scan and post-scan reports in the Autel Cloud, allowing users to access stored diagnostic reports at any time and from any location for feedback, archiving and reporting purposes.
- Easy sharing and printing: Reports can be shared directly from the tablet via QR code, email or SMS, or printed wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Ideal for quick customer communication or internal workshop documentation.
Additional features and special capabilities:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro is equipped with advanced technologies that future-proof the device and make it suitable for use on modern vehicle platforms, including compliance with current regulations.
- Support for CAN-FD & DoIP: Thanks to the MaxiFlash Elite J2534 VCI, the system supports the latest communication protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, which are essential for compatibility with modern vehicles from manufacturers including GM, Ford, BMW, Volvo and Land Rover.
- FCA AutoAuth access: Provides authorised access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) of vehicles from Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Jeep. Requires a separate AutoAuth account for full diagnostic and service access.
Optional expansions and modules:
The Autel MaxiSys Elite II Pro is compatible with various expansion modules that make the system suitable for specialist diagnostic and inspection applications.
- Battery analysis: Supports coupling with the Autel MaxiBAS BT506, enabling professional battery testing on 12V starter batteries, including checks for voltage, internal resistance and charge condition.
- Video scope: Compatible with the Autel MaxiVideo MV105 and MV108 inspection cameras, for visual inspection of hard-to-reach components such as cylinder heads, intake ports and EGR systems.
- 4-channel oscilloscope (MP408): Supports expansion with the Autel MaxiScope MP408, a four-channel oscilloscope for in-depth analysis of electronic signals such as sensor outputs, CAN bus lines and actuator response.
