You've decided you want an OBDeleven and now you see three options: the standalone device, a PRO Pack, and an ULTIMATE Pack. The short answer: if you want to read fault codes and also do real coding and enable hidden features, the PRO Pack is the logical choice for most drivers. You get the latest device, the PRO plan, and 100 credits all in one bundle.
Quick answer: the OBDeleven 3 PRO Pack bundles the OBDeleven 3 device, the PRO plan, and 100 credits. With it you read and clear fault codes, view live data, and unlock manual coding, adaptations, SFD-unlock (VAG from 2020 onwards), and output tests. With the 100 credits you activate One-Click Apps without coding knowledge. If you're mainly coding your own car and will be done after that, this package is usually enough. Want unlimited app activation and deactivation? Then choose the ULTIMATE Pack.
What's included in the PRO Pack?
The PRO Pack isn't a separate device—it's a bundle of three things you'd otherwise buy separately. Everything is linked to your account once activated.
The OBDeleven 3 device. The latest compact Bluetooth adapter that plugs into your OBD2 port and works with the free app on iOS and Android.
The PRO plan. The subscription that unlocks manual coding, adaptations, SFD-unlock, and output tests, on top of the free diagnostic features.
100 credits. Credit balance to activate One-Click Apps: ready-made features you turn on or off with a single tap, no coding knowledge needed.
What can you do with it?
With the free FREE plan you read and clear fault codes and view live data. The PRO plan in this bundle goes a big step further, especially on Volkswagen Group vehicles (VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT/Cupra, Bentley, Lamborghini):
Manual coding and adaptations. You adjust control unit settings yourself, just like you'd do with long coding.
SFD-unlock. Required to modify secured control units on VAG models from 2020 onwards.
Output tests. Directly control components to test whether they work.
One-Click Apps using your credits. Think start-stop off by default, seatbelt chime off, coming-home lighting, digital speed in the cluster, or comfort blinking.
Beyond VAG, OBDeleven also works advanced on BMW (including MINI) and Toyota (including Lexus). Ford (US models only) and Mercedes-Benz are only supported on the OBDeleven 3. Basic diagnostics work on virtually all CAN-bus cars from around 2008 onwards, but older K-line cars like the VW Golf 4 or Passat B5 don't work. Unsure? Do the official compatibility check.
PRO Pack or standalone OBDeleven 3?
If you buy the OBDeleven 3 alone, you start on the FREE plan: read and clear fault codes plus live data. For pure diagnostics that's fine, and it's the cheapest entry point. But as soon as you want to code, make adaptations, or activate a One-Click App, you'll need the PRO plan and credits.
The rule of thumb is simple. If you only want to know why your check engine light is on, choose the standalone OBDeleven 3. If you already know you want to customize features, get the PRO Pack: device, plan, and credits all sorted at once.
PRO Pack or ULTIMATE Pack?
The difference between PRO and ULTIMATE comes down to exactly one thing: One-Click Apps. On PRO you pay for them with credits, on ULTIMATE they're unlimited. All other features, from coding to SFD-unlock, are identical.
Be honest with yourself about how you'll use it. Many settings you code once and then leave alone: start-stop off, seatbelt chime off, comfort blinking on, done. For that pattern 100 credits is often more than enough, and the PRO Pack is the sensible choice. Are you a real app-hopper who constantly wants to try features, reset them, and reconfigure, or do you want to customize multiple cars? Then you're better off with the ULTIMATE Pack: you'll never worry about your credit balance again.
Which OBDeleven is right for you?
Choose based on what you plan to do: one-time coding with some apps (PRO Pack), diagnostics only (standalone OBDeleven 3), or unlimited experimentation (ULTIMATE Pack).

Frequently asked questions
Are 100 credits enough?
For most people, yes. Manual coding and adaptations don't cost any credits on the PRO plan — you only use credits for One-Click Apps. Plus, many features you set up once and then you're done. Only if you want to constantly try apps on one or more vehicles is ULTIMATE more worthwhile.
How do I activate the credits from the PRO Pack?
Only via the web dashboard at obdeleven.com (Dashboard button in the top right), not in the app. Log in with the same account you use in the app, enter the code exactly on the "Activate your plan or Credits" page, and click Activate. The code can only be redeemed once, is non-transferable, and valid for 1 year from purchase. After that, you'll see your balance in the app under More and your profile.
Will the PRO Pack work on my car?
Full support on the Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT/Cupra, Bentley, Lamborghini), advanced features on BMW/MINI and Toyota/Lexus, and on the OBDeleven 3 also Ford (US models) and Mercedes-Benz. Basic diagnostics work on virtually all CAN-bus vehicles from around 2008 onwards. If you're unsure, check OBDeleven's official compatibility list.
What's the difference between PRO and ULTIMATE?
Just the One-Click Apps. With PRO you activate them using credits, with ULTIMATE they're unlimited. Coding, adaptations, SFD-unlock, and output tests work exactly the same on both plans.
In a nutshell
• The PRO Pack = OBDeleven 3 device + PRO plan + 100 credits all in one bundle.
• PRO unlocks coding, adaptations, SFD-unlock, and output tests; you activate One-Click Apps with credits.
• Only need diagnostics? The standalone OBDeleven 3 on the FREE plan is enough.
• Most features you code once; 100 credits is often plenty. If you like trying lots of apps, go for the ULTIMATE Pack.
