The VTN1098 is a 10-piece timing tool set for 1.4L and 1.6L PSA Prince petrol engines. This toolkit is used for servicing the timing chain on various Prince engines found in Citroën, Peugeot and MINI models.
The set includes specialized tools for locking the camshafts, a crankshaft locking pin via the flywheel and a dummy chain tensioner for correct chain tension adjustment. Supplied in a sturdy plastic storage case.

Application and functionality
- Camshaft locking: Bridge tool secures the intake and exhaust camshafts in correct alignment with each other and the crankshaft.
- Crankshaft locking: Pin inserted through the engine block into the flywheel locks the crankshaft at TDC.
- Chain pre-tensioning: Dummy chain tensioner simulates the working pressure of the hydraulic tensioner for correct tension during installation.
