The timing set (VT13773) is a tool set for locking and adjusting the camshafts and crankshaft. This set is specifically developed for timing work on various Volvo vehicles with 1.5L and 2.0L gasoline engines from the VEA series (Volvo Engine Architecture).
The 10-piece set contains tools for locking the camshaft sprockets, holding the crankshaft pulley, and removing the crankshaft sprocket. Additionally, there is a special tool included for the installation of the crankshaft oil seal. All parts are supplied in a plastic storage case for storage and transport.
Application and functionality:
This set provides the necessary tools for correctly performing maintenance on the timing chain and related engine components.
- Locking camshafts: The camshaft adjustment tool and camshaft sprocket tool are used to fix the camshafts in the correct position during maintenance.
- Holding crankshaft: The holding tool prevents the crankshaft from rotating when loosening and tightening the central pulley bolt.
- Removing crankshaft sprocket: The puller makes it possible to remove the crankshaft sprocket without damaging the components.
- Installing crankshaft oil seal: The installation tool ensures a correct and concentric installation of the front crankshaft oil seal.
