This set is used when replacing the timing belt and other maintenance on the engine timing system.
- Locking the camshafts: The locking plate secures the camshafts in the correct timing position, which is necessary when working on the timing system.
- Locking the crankshaft: The locking pin is screwed into the engine block to fix the crankshaft at top dead center (TDC).
- Fixing the flywheel: An additional locking pin is used to secure the flywheel.
- Positioning the belt tensioner: The locking pin holds the timing belt tensioner in a relaxed position during installation or removal of the belt.
