The OBD2 splitter cable is a flat extension cable with a length of 30 cm. This cable is designed to split a single 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic port in a vehicle into two separate female 16-pin connectors. The cable features a male connector for the vehicle side and ensures full transmission of all 16 pins.
The flat, angled shape of the male connector allows the cable to be used in situations where the OBD2 port is in a hard-to-reach place or where space is limited. Thanks to the splitter function, two OBD2 devices, such as a diagnostic tool and a datalogger or head-up display, can be connected and used simultaneously. The length of 30 cm offers extra flexibility without excess cable inside the interior.
Application and functionality:
This cable is designed to extend and split the standard OBD2 port of a vehicle, expanding connectivity for diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
- Splitting the OBD2 port: Allows simultaneous connection of two OBD2-compatible devices. This is suitable for using a diagnostic tool alongside a permanently connected device, such as a GPS tracker or a performance monitor.
- Extension of the connection: The cable extends the OBD2 port by 30 cm, facilitating the connection of diagnostic equipment, especially when the port is in an inconvenient location.
- Flat profile connector: The angled, flat connector on the vehicle side ensures a compact and discreet installation, reducing the chance of accidental disconnection or damage.
Compatible vehicles and Application:
This OBD2 extension and splitter cable is universally compatible with almost all vehicles equipped with a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) diagnostic port.
This includes most gasoline vehicles from model year 2001 and diesel vehicles from model year 2004 within the European Union. The cable works with a wide range of diagnostic interfaces, scanners, and other OBD2 devices.
Important: Before purchasing the product, always check the connection of your vehicle. This may vary by model and year of manufacture.
