BMW F-Series Ethernet Adapter Cable | Passenger Car
The BMW F-series Ethernet adapter cable forms a connection between the OBD2 port of the vehicle and a diagnostic interface via a RJ45 Ethernet connection. The cable is specifically designed to establish communication for programming, coding, and diagnostic tasks. The adapter features a male 16-pin OBD2 connector for the vehicle side and splits out to a female RJ45 port and a female 16-pin OBD2 port.
This configuration makes it possible to set up a stable and fast data connection via an ENET cable with software packages such as E-SYS, ISTA, and INPA. The design is aimed at supporting the DoIP (Diagnostics over Internet Protocol) communication protocol, which is used in modern BMW vehicles for flashing modules and performing advanced diagnostics.
