The 16-pin OBD2 nylon extension and splitter cable is a 30 cm Y-cable. You plug the male connector into the OBD2 port and get two female OBD2 connectors.

For example, this lets you connect a fixed dongle or HUD and a diagnostic tool at the same time. The braided nylon sheath protects against wear and kinking. The cable is passive: there is no electronics inside.
