The Topdon UltraDiag is an advanced, wireless 2-in-1 Diagnostic Tool and key programmer, designed as a powerful and versatile solution for the modern workshop, the demanding technician, and locksmiths. This system is built around a robust 8-inch touchscreen tablet running on a fast and stable Android 11 operating system. The UltraDiag combines in-depth diagnosis of all systems, bidirectional control, and a comprehensive package of service functions with professional key programming capabilities. This makes it an extremely capable and multifunctional tool for very broad vehicle coverage.

Technically, the tablet communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth with the VCI dongle, which can conveniently be magnetically stored on the back of the tablet. The license includes standard two years of free software updates, a significant advantage that gives the user continuous access to the latest features and growing vehicle coverage. After this period, the device continues to function fully on the last installed software version.

Diagnostic functions:

The Topdon UltraDiag offers extensive diagnostic capabilities for more than 60 vehicle brands, with full system access, real-time data monitoring, and component control. The tool is suitable for universal workshop use and daily fault analysis.

• Complete system diagnosis: Provides in-depth access to all electronic control units, such as engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), body control module (BCM), power steering, comfort systems and more. Includes fault code reading, clearing, and module status.
• Active tests (bidirectional control): Sends commands to actuators, relays, and components, such as controlling the fuel pump, testing the air conditioning clutch, or operating windows and mirrors, without physical disassembly.
• AutoVIN & AutoScan: Automatically recognizes the vehicle via the chassis number (VIN) and immediately performs a full scan of all present systems. This allows you to start faster and without manual input.
• Live datastream: Displays real-time sensor and system data, with support for displaying up to four data streams simultaneously in graph form. This helps analyze system behavior during test drives or active tests.

Key programming functions:

The UltraDiag offers extensive key and immobilizer functions (IMMO) that are essential for key service, replacement, or security management. These functions apply to a wide range of vehicle brands and models.

• Read PIN code: Reads the immobilizer PIN code (security code) directly via the OBD connector. Supported for most common vehicle brands, without requiring additional software or manual request.
• Add keys (Add Key): Programs a new key or remote control into the vehicle system without overwriting existing keys.
• All keys lost (All Keys Lost): Supports programming a completely new key when no working keys are available. Ideal for situations where all keys are lost or stolen.
• Learn remote control: Teaches a new remote control for the central locking, including support for functions such as remote open/close.
• Erase keys: Removes lost or stolen keys from the car's memory to prevent unauthorized access. Only programmed and active keys remain usable.

Maintenance and service functions:

The UltraDiag supports 13 commonly used maintenance and service functions, allowing you to quickly and efficiently perform standard tasks after maintenance or replacement of vehicle parts. These functions make the device extremely suitable for daily workshop use.

• Oil service reset (Service): Resets the maintenance interval and service message after replacing engine oil and oil filter.
• Electronic parking brake (EPB): Releases and initializes the electronic handbrake for safe brake maintenance.
• Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibration of the steering angle sensor after alignment or replacement of steering components.
• Diesel particulate filter (DPF): Starts forced regeneration and clears fault codes after maintenance on the soot filter.
• ABS pump bleeding (ABS): Removes air from the ABS system after replacement of brake components or brake fluid.
• Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new Battery and resets Battery data in the charging system.
• Airbag reset (SRS): Clears fault codes in the airbag system and resets the SRS status after repair.
• TPMS reset: Learning tire pressure sensors or resetting the warning system (if supported).
• Throttle body learning (ETC): Calibration of the throttle position after cleaning or replacement of the throttle body.
• Injector coding: Programs new injector IDs into the ECU for correct fuel injection.
• Transmission adaptation: Resets learned values of automatic transmissions for improved shifting behavior.
• Crankshaft sensor learning: Recalibration of the crankshaft sensor after replacement or engine adjustment.

The ArtiDiag Pro supports extensive reporting and data functions, enabling technicians to record, share, and resolve diagnoses faster.

• Diagnostic reports: Generates clear and concise pre-scan and post-scan reports, including fault codes, system status, and module information. Reports are suitable for workshop archiving or customer communication.
• Easily share and print: Reports can be directly shared via e-mail from the tablet or printed wirelessly via Wi-Fi, without the intervention of a PC.
• Repair database: Contains a built-in technical knowledge base with explanations of OBD2 fault codes, service bulletins, and a DLC location guide (diagnostic connector location) for quick access to vehicle information during work.

The ArtiDiag Pro is equipped with smart features that enhance ease of use and make the system suitable for professional use in diverse work environments.

• FCA AutoAuth access: Provides authorized access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) of modern vehicles from Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Jeep. This allows full diagnostic and service functions to be performed without physical bypass. Requires an active AutoAuth account.
• Magnetic VCI: The Bluetooth VCI dongle is equipped with a magnet mount and can be easily clipped to the back of the tablet. This prevents loss and keeps the workspace organized.
• HDMI output: Thanks to the built-in HDMI port, the tablet's screen can be mirrored to an external display. Ideal for use during trainings, demonstrations or sharing live diagnostic results with colleagues or customers.

Optional expansions and modules:

The ArtiDiag Pro can be expanded with additional hardware to perform supplementary vehicle analyses, including advanced battery diagnostics.

• Battery analysis (BTMobile ProS): Supports connection with the Topdon BTMobile ProS, a professional battery tester for measuring voltage levels, internal resistance, starting capacity (CCA) and performing a complete assessment of the starting and charging system. Communication is wireless via Bluetooth.

License information:

• Includes 2 years of updates: A 24-month update license is included with purchase.

After the first year, the license can be renewed for an annual fee. The device remains fully functional for already supported models, even without license renewal. However, new software updates can no longer be installed, and some online features may be limited or no longer supported.
