The Thinkcar Thinktool Euro Expert is an advanced and fully integrated all-in-one diagnostic platform, designed for the most demanding workshops and technicians. This system combines OE-level diagnosis, online programming, coding functionality and various specialized measuring instruments in one powerful and robust device. The central component is a large 12-inch Full HD touchscreen tablet with an optimized Android operating system, combining speed, overview and flexibility.

The Euro Expert stands out through the seamless integration of a 2-channel oscilloscope, digital multimeter and a complete TPMS module, directly in the hardware and software of the system. This allows faults to be analyzed in depth both digitally and electrically – without the need for external modules. Communication with the vehicle is wireless via the supplied THINKDIAG 3 VCI, an advanced 3-in-1 interface that not only functions as a VCI but also as hardware for oscilloscope and multimeter. This VCI supports the latest communication protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, ensuring fast and stable connection with modern vehicle systems.

By default, the Thinktool Euro Expert is delivered with two years of free software updates, including vehicle coverage for more than 150 brands worldwide. After this period, the system continues to function fully on the last installed software version. An annual license is required for access to new updates and online features.

Diagnostic functions:

The Thinktool Euro Expert offers comprehensive diagnostic capabilities at OE level and is suitable for fault analysis, module communication, and system monitoring on vehicles from more than 150 brands. Thanks to the integrated measurement functionality and the powerful 3-in-1 VCI, this platform is suitable for both conventional and modern vehicles with complex networks.

• Complete system diagnosis (OE-level): Provides in-depth access to all electronic systems in the vehicle, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), body control module (BCM), climate control, steering, ADAS systems and more. Supports reading and clearing fault codes with detailed descriptions.
• Topology mapping: Visualizes all present control units in an interactive network diagram with real-time status information. The communication relationships between modules are graphically displayed, including module status (normal, fault, offline), which speeds up locating network problems.
• Active tests (bidirectional control): Sends commands to actuators and components to test their operation directly. Think of activating pumps, fans, valves, relays, or operating lighting and windows without physical disassembly.
• Live datastream: Displays real-time data from sensors and modules in text format, graphs or analog instrument format. Supports simultaneous display of multiple data streams, enabling comparison and accurate diagnosis of system behavior.

Maintenance and service functions:

The Thinktool Euro Expert supports more than 35 maintenance and reset functions, allowing crucial vehicle systems to be calibrated, reset, or relearned after repair or replacement. These functions apply to a very wide range of makes and models.

• Oil service reset (Service): Resets the maintenance interval and service messages after an oil change.
• Electronic parking brake (EPB): Releases, applies, and initializes the electronic handbrake for safe brake maintenance.
• Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new Battery in the charging system and optimizes the charging strategy.
• Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor after alignment or replacement of steering parts.
• Diesel particulate filter (DPF): Performs forced regeneration and clears fault codes after soot filter cleaning.
• ABS pump bleeding (ABS): Activates the ABS system to remove air from the brake circuits.
• TPMS reset: Recognizes and learns new tire pressure sensors, including fault code removal.
• Throttle body learning (ETC): Calibration of the throttle after cleaning or replacement.
• Injector coding: Programs the unique identification codes of new injectors into the ECU.
• Transmission adaptation (CVT): Resets adaptive learning values of automatic transmissions for smooth shifting.
• Crankshaft sensor learning (TEC): Relearns the crankshaft signal position after sensor replacement or engine repair.

• Online programming (ECU flashing): Supports complete reprogramming of electronic control units with original factory files. This function is essential when replacing ECUs or during major software updates. Supported brands include BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, Nissan and Subaru.
• Online coding: Connects to the manufacturer's servers to correctly configure vehicle modules after replacement or modification. This also allows hidden functions to be activated or settings to be adjusted, such as lighting functions, start/stop behavior or locking options.
• Guided functions (VAG): For vehicles from the Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) the system offers step-by-step guidance when performing advanced coding tasks, key programming, module settings or system learning. This reduces the chance of errors and makes complex procedures accessible to the technician.

Cloud and reporting features:

The Thinktool Euro Expert offers extensive cloud and communication functionality for securely managing, sharing, and analyzing diagnostic reports, both within the workshop and remotely.

• Cloud storage and management: All diagnostic reports are automatically saved in the Thinkcar Cloud, allowing them to be easily managed, archived, and retrieved from any device with internet access. This offers workshops maximum flexibility in document management and customer communication.
• Professional reports: Generates clear and fully customizable pre-scan and post-scan reports, including fault codes, module information, and vehicle specifications. Reports can be provided with company logo, customer information, and comments, and can be saved or shared as PDF.
• Remote diagnostics (TeamViewer): Thanks to the built-in TeamViewer functionality, external technicians or technical support can take control remotely of the tablet (with permission). This feature is especially valuable for complex malfunctions or brand-specific problem analyses.

• Integrated 2-channel oscilloscope: The system includes a full-featured, built-in oscilloscope for measuring and analyzing electronic signals such as injector pulses, crankshaft signals, sensor outputs and CAN bus communication. The measurements are displayed directly on the tablet in high resolution.
• Integrated multimeter: The THINKDIAG 3 VCI also functions as a digital multimeter, allowing voltage, resistance, and continuity to be measured. Ideal for combining digital diagnostics with direct electrical measurements.
• Integrated TPMS module: The Thinktool Euro Expert comes standard with the T-Wand 200 TPMS tool and four universal Thinkcar TPMS sensors. These allow sensors to be activated, read, programmed, and learned, enabling full TPMS service.
• Support for CAN-FD & DoIP: The THINKDIAG 3 VCI supports modern protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, enabling fast and stable communication with the latest vehicle platforms (e.g., BMW G-series, GM after 2020, Volvo after 2018).
• J2534 Pass-Thru functionality: The VCI acts as a J2534 Pass-Thru interface, allowing OEM diagnostic software such as ODIS, ISTA, Techstream or SDD to be used on a PC. This is essential for brand-specific software updates, coding, or online functions.

• Battery analysis (ThinkEasy Battery Test Clip): Supports connection with the ThinkEasy Battery Test Clip for measuring voltage, internal resistance, and general condition of starting and charging Batteries, including on-site Battery diagnostics.
• Videoscope (Thinkcar Videoscope): Suitable for connection to the Thinkcar Videoscope for visual inspection of hard-to-reach places such as combustion chambers, EGR channels, or dashboards. Image display directly via the Euro Expert tablet.
