The OBDSTAR M074 is an adapter cable that converts a Yanmar 3-pin diagnostic connector to a standard 16-pin OBD2 port (J1962). The cable is designed for use with OBDSTAR diagnostic devices or programmers and enables diagnostics on Yanmar combustion engines equipped with a proprietary 3-pin connector. The cable features a Yanmar-specific 3-pin connector on one end and a standard OBD2 female connector on the other.

The adapter cable connects the diagnostic port of the Yanmar engine to the OBDSTAR diagnostic device via the OBD2 interface. The 3-pin Yanmar connector plugs directly into the engine-specific diagnostic socket, after which the signal is transmitted through the cable wiring to the 16-pin OBD2 female side. This allows the OBDSTAR device to communicate with the engine control unit (ECU) of the Yanmar engine for diagnostic and reading purposes.
